Just perfect in every way!!
As a Brit who missed a traditional country pub with log fire I fell in love with this place instantly.
It’s so cosy & homely and such an eye for detail in the decor.
Food was delicious, grilled chicken straight off the spit roast.
Lovely friendly staff who are very care taking and attentive and the wonderful landlady who personally comes round to all the tables to see if you are ok and chat with her guests. Just superb.
This place has just sky rocketed to one of my favourite venues and I can’t wait to come back.
Also beautiful homemade produce sold in a hut outside with an honesty box. Loved the Apple Strudel marmalade! So good!!! :))

The best grilled chicken I ever tasted! Plus the location is beautiful: surrounded by great trees and beautiful flowers. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food (grilled chicken) came really quick - directly from the fire pit. It’s not the cheapest, but I will definitely come again!

I love this place for the great atmosphere, the tasty food and the amazing team!
I highly suggest to book at table in advance and if you would like to eat the famous Stelze you should also book it before.
Unfortunately this place is not open during winter, It would be so magic surrounded by the snow.

The place with the best chicken around Vienna! During summer time you can sit in a wild romantic garden, whereas in winter the large fire place in the old wooden house creates a very special atmosphere! The waiters are warm hearted and talkative and wear beautiful Dirndl. I would recommend going for a relaxing walk in the woods before enjoying the delicious meal there!

Love this place. Going there for many many years. Always excellent food and atmosphere. Warm welcome by the owners. Super friendly staff. Nice area around. Pleasant walk through Vienna forest before and after the meal. Good place to escape from the city. Sometimes parking can get crowded. Highly recommended. Would rate it 10 stars.

This is one of my favorite places, especially when the weather is nice. The chicken is great on an open wood fire, but the hidden gem is the fish. Great service and the Family Staar greet us like we are one of their own.

Really lovely cosy place for a Sunday dinner , they have Lamb and pork legs slow roasted. The most fantastic chicken cooked in a real wood burning oven . Nice people , great atmosphere, top marks from me .

This is an amazing authentic getaway just a short half hour drive from the outskirts of the 18th district. Great family feel place, tasty food, amazing atmosphere of Wienerwald forest!

The atmosphere at this place is very rustic and inviting. The owner and staff are very friendly. The meal was amazing. I wish I could eat here once a week.
