Eating in a restaurant whose building history spans from the 1550 and related to the famous Austrian Goser beer, can feel surreal and sentimental at the same time because the architectural design has almost been preserved through the generations. I have enjoyed meals at this restaurant on both my visits to Leoben. Their Viennese Schnitzel (veal/calf) tastes so good and so did the beef goulash. What I did not like is that the Goulash can only be served with a dumpling that did taste that good and it could not be ordered with something else like parsley potatoes or mash potatoes. I highly recommend this place for dinner if you are visiting Leoben. One more thing, the owner of the restaurant is so cool, so friendly and down to earth. Easy to talk to, he offered us a free tour of the historical restaurant! Located at the Leoben square: Arkadenhof; Gaststätte Schwarzer Adler 8700 Leoben am Hauptplatz 11.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Menu a bit hard to read and if non-German speaking, double check what you ordered. Food ready blindingly fast.

Love this place , come back here every year to eat . Waitress was really nice , beer is good and fairly priced . The food is incredible and it is a nice historic restaurant to sit and eat in !
