Best menu on the mountain! The only place we came back 3 times. The food is excellent and diverse (from meat to vegetarian and vegan options), the staff are nice and with a good sense of humor even when things got hectic during the high season lunch time.

Great location on the mountain. Cozy modern style , but local Hütte experience. We had only soup, it was tasty and served quickly. Hungarian speaking staff was a positive surprise, we really appreciated it.

Stopped here for lunch while skiing. I ordered a vegan curry and it was so delicious! It came with lots of fresh crunchy vegetables and a light Thai green curry sauce. I also got the gluhwein that came in a cute little ceramic jug with a matching cup.

My friend ordered the schnitzel and said it was lovely. It came with pumpkin seeds in the coating. She also had to try the hot shots that we had heard about. She got the snow cap and the hot widow and loved them! They come with whipped cream and Baily's so not vegan.

My other friend ordered cheese covered dumplings. She said they were nice but very rich. She said it was like eating a massive bowl of cheese so she actually left most of it.

You can sit outside our inside and both have stunning panoramic views of the ski slopes and surrounding mountains. It's also very close to the old cable cars that bring you down to the bottom so a good place to stop and have a drink if you're nervous beginners like we were

One of the best mountain-restaurants in this area where you can also find a few tasty non-regional cuisine. Having said that Kaiserschmarm is very delicious. Good service and nice atmosphere.

When it comes to service this place is exceptional. Meal was served in 5 minutes, freshly made and delicious. Really recommend for people who likes traditional Austrian food

Great food and great service! This is one of the few places where you can get the most famous Austrian dessert “Kaiserschmarren” according to the traditional recipe (which includes delicious raisins). They also feature some home-made Schnaps infusions. Those seem to be very specific to this region in Austria. They are worth a shot.

Very nice place for having a late break on the top of the mountain Hauser Kaibling.
They serve excellent food, it's all fresh made and the ingredients are obviously high qualilty. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
We stayed here in the last few days, always enjoying the friendly and warm atmosphere in the afternoon - this is a classic but high standard mountain location rather than one of the modern palaces, which are put close to the slopes nowadays. Small rooms, a lot of wood, small windows still providing a good view to the magnificent mountains surrounding Krummholzhütte. A very good place to stay if you don't need loud music but rather go for a quite place to talk and enjoy the sunset with some good food and wine.
Just to be aware: kitchen closes at 4 p.m. You can still get drinks and some sweets (i.e. Germknödel) but they won't be able to help you with the majority of dishes on the menu.

Delicious frittatensuppe (broth with sliced pancakes) and kaiserschmarrn. Huge portions. Friendly staff who also speak English.

Possibly the best burgers in Austria? Other food also of great standard. Friendly service, lovely views and a lot of great hikes and walks around it.
