Wohlfühlhotel Schiestl

We stayed here for a midweek and it was just absolutely fabulous. A wonderful property with amazing staff making the stay fantastic. The location is also for non-skiers amazingto explore, there's a lot to do and the hotel has a shuttle that will drop/pickup from the local train station. The food offered at the hotel is of great quality, going for the near full board option is a good choice for value!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a family of three (infant child). The hotel, room and facilities are spotless and very well maintained. The location is great for the Spieljoch skiing area & there is a frequent bus to Hochfügen. Breakfast is wonderful with a great variety of options. Dinner was amazing as well. Waitress Judith attended to our every need (she is a real gem - one of the best & friendliest hospitality professionals I've ever met). We look forward to returning next year!

very clean and warm. A lot of children's activities. Spa area and pools great. Service and food very good. Always a good selection at breakfast, afternoon snack and dinner.
The owner is great she makes a big fuss of the children, always sneaking them treats. All the staff are friendly and helpful. Just a great friendly hotel that we'll use in the Zillertal again.

We have been to the Schiestl several times and are delighted every time. Service, food, rooms and wellness are always at the best level. Even with small children you can spend a nice vacation here. Mrs. Schiestl and family are heart people and make every vacation a beautiful experience. The ski bus and a cable car are within walking distance. We will of course come again. Thank you very much for the wonderful time.

Clean, friendly, attentive. Breakfast was super, dinner was good but not great. Giving 5 stars because it was all I could hope for. For ski just take into account that you'll have to catch a bus to the rest of the slopes besides Spieljoch. There were plans for making an extra lift connection, but it has not been realized yet as of March 2022

It has been 4 years since I first posted the below review. And I can honestly say that I still stand behind it. The hotel let's you feel like you just got home. Be sure to check this hotel out you will not be sorry!

The rooms are nice and clean. The staf is friendly and always happy to help and make a bit of smal talk. Nice swimming pool and sauna area. Good atmosphere. 😊

Arrived today in one of the new suites its worth the money! Really spacious and such a friendly staff! And great fun with Alf on the skidays or skisafary as they tend to call them. The distance to the lift to spieljoch is about 400m.

Had a great room, 'Sparzimmer 112'. Friendly staff, the room was also very clean and tidy. The food was extraordinary. Super tasty and also, a lot. When having 'Verwöhnpension' you also have a 'Mittagsjause' which is like a small meal between lunch and dinner. The owner, Marianne, speaks to every guest personally. The hotel was also happy to bring me to the train station, and also to bring me back to the hotel in the afternoon.
Children and dogs are also allowed and very welcome. I had a wonderful stay, wouldn't mind if it would have last a little longer. Then I also would have tested the pool and other wellness possibilities. I wish every village for snowsports had a Hotel Schiestl!

Cozy, friendly, clean hotel. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The indoor pool was very warm and relaxing.

This is a family run hotel with great attention to details. It is a bit outdated but the rooms are nice, breakfast is huge and the location is great. It is a great place to stay for few days and excellent exit point to attraction across the valley.

Excellent stay. All staff were extremely helpful especially reception staff. Will be visiting again soon.
