Santorini Taverne

Great food and great service at this somewhat hidden restaurant! Staff greeted us upon entry and gave us English menus without us having to ask for it. When we asked if the sheep cheese smell would be too strong, they actually brought out a piece for us to try.

Ordered the fish platter (highly recommend) which was extremely delicious. The calamari, prawn, fish and mussels were very flavorful. We also had the feta sheep cheese and Suflaki which was quite tough to cut and chew but otherwise it was nice.

Do note that ordering extra sauce (Tzatziki) costs €3.90 but comes in a big portion.

Napkins here are quite unique as well.

The fish platter is a must order. It's actually a seafood platter with grilled squid, shrimps, mussels and fish. Everything was so fresh and cooked to perfection.
We also had the grilled pork, which was also delicious but the texture was abit hard for us.
The mountain herbal tea was nice.
Service was exceptional, they keep checking on us if everything was ok. We enjoyed our meal and hope to visit again.

Enjoyed some authentic greek food at Santorini during the summer. Ordered a fish platter and grilled pork, which came w a serving of fried potatoes (not too oily!) and rice. Highly recommend the fish platter! Staff were very hospitable and did their best to answer our questions.

The restaurant is great, very beautiful. Amazing service, all the waitres very kind. I have been to Greece and I have not eaten such delicious food, only in the Santorini restaurant such wonderful food. The owner gave me a cocktail and it is his own recipe it was yummy. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a mixed plate of warm starters. The seafood was incredible! The main course (Gyros) was also very tasty. Friendly and fast service. The best Hellenic restaurant in Carinthia I've been to. Can recommend without any doubt.

The food is fresh, tasty, simply excellent! The service is quick, friendly, make you feel at home! Beautifully decorate, you can feel the Greek spirit and you feel like being in Greece! Highly recommend! Will be back!

Every food I tried here, from pita to main dish was extremely well seasoned and delicious. I never thought, I would find such a great greek restaurant in the middle of Austria, but it did happen. I hope, I come here again one day, when travelling around.

Ich werde bald wieder kommen. Essen und service sucht seines gleichen. Alles Tip Top. Sollten sich andere Mal ein Stück ab schauen die glauben das sie Gastronomie können. LG

Wir waren gestern hier zu Gast und können uns nun der Menge anschließen. Dieser Grieche schlägt jeden „trocken Gyros Klagenfurter“ um Längen. Das ist auch die Autofahrt nach St.Veit kein Hindernis. Vom extrem freundlichen Personal bis hin zum hervorragenden Essen. Alles Top.

Für alle Ketos unter euch. Einfach die Schweinespieße statt Kartoffeln mit Gemüse bestellen (kein Tiefkühl sondern frisch aus dem Ofen). Weder Aufpreis für Änderungen noch besondere Umstände. Alles frei nach Wunsch des Gastes.

PS: lasst euch nicht von den etwas höheren Preisen erschrecken. Die Qualität und Portionsgröße sind dementsprechend besser im Vergleich zu vielen anderen!
