Monastery exterior is gorgeous with views extending far towards the Vienna city. The fresh juices they serve are delicious - I’d recommend the apple.

I didn’t visit the chapel of the church but the lobby had been remodeled recently.

Fantastic place. I recommend the Museum with its treasures. We could do the guided tour as we did not book Tickets in advanced for that.

Very interesting place. It is really worth visiting. I only have one remark regarding the treatment of foreign visitors. Guides only conduct their work in the German language. There is the audio guide but you never hear what guides interpret in German.

Specular monastery, with a lot of different experience to do. Imperial apartment, art exhibition, cellars and wine tasting. The restaurant in front and the vinoteka are both super good. The restaurant is nicely located and for the summer is just magic. The town around is very beautiful and typical. I really recommend the visit and try the apple juice that they produce 😋 omg the best I had in my entire life

Top! We had a Stiftführung and the Weinkeller Führung and both were great! (Each costs 2e additionally to the entry fee - which is 9e)

Ladies at Kassa were very nice and helpful. They offer audio guide in multiple languages, which is helpful for non-german speaking friends.

After the Weinkeller guide tour there is a small wine degustation in the Stiftvinothek (one glass of white wine, one glass of red wine). Here I missed few words about the wine.

4 hours free parking in the garage directly under the Stift.

Not suitable for baby strollers as there were lot of stairs during the guide but you can leave it in the premises.

Definitely recommended! Thank you for everything! 🌸

Worth visiting, they offer different types of tours (some are probably time limited specials) regarding various aspects of local history. The wine cellars are impressive, too. Also, the town is a nice stop on the Donauradweg.

Beautiful buildings dating back to 1114. Well worth a visit and walk around the town.

Wonderful architecture inside out which captures your attention immediately. Inside there was not much to see but outside there are several spots to walk around. The staff at reception is very nice and friendly. You can choose to be part of guided tour also if there are places available.

Outside are also some places to sit and grab some food. The parking (underground) is for upto 4 hours free if you visit the Stift. It's a good stop over for 1 hour when going out of Vienna to other excursion places.

The monastery is a must see, roughly an hour north of Vienna by train. You can see the royal palace, learn about winery and appreciate amazingly beautiful works of sacred art, notably the magnificent Verduner Altar. The monastery is a thousand years old and even resisted the Turkish invasion of 1683, when monks and populace saved the monastery...and the wine!

Beautiful monastery in the outskirts of Vienna. Very easy to reach for a half-day road trip. Worth visiting, especially for the boutique wine production

I attended an even about ancient centuries in this place, it was interesting to see such vibes in real life regarding the ancient outfit of soldiers, people, and workers.

This was an excellent, short, day trip from Vienna. We went by train. I had read about the monastery but it was far more beautiful and fascinating than I had ever expected. We do not like doing guided tours, but this one was a must.
