A beautiful place to visit. You pay entrance fee, but you can buy only for the park separately, or with the villa too. We just walked around the park and didn't go inside and it was totally worth it. Beautifully maintained park, I'd say probably even wheel chair accessible. Beautiful in autumn!

Very beautiful garden and villa. The tour is only in German but a guide is given in other languages so that the visit can be followed

Amazing villa, it is useful to read around the historic & personal events of the family. A great place of historic significance and romanticised by Elizabeth the beautiful empress whose life was tragically cut short by an anarchist in Italy. Thank you to the family who are allowing us to visit their residence. The garden is more an " jadin anglaise"and out of season as visited in October. We have enjoyed the visit and appreciate all seen, our tour was in English which was wonderful. The statue ( The Listener) from what I remember was a present from Queen Victoria xxx💞

DERELICT PAST GLAMOUR

An old vestige of the imperial glamour. The interior is kept as if the Kaiser and the Empress should arrive any second to sit at the dinner table.
The premises are ample and they reflect how once the imperial"blue bloods" lived.
The Villa is enormous, but it is in dire need of repairs.

Small palace that is nicely done. You must take a tour in German and they provide a card if you need different languages.

A wonderful place to visit, beautiful villa in stunning surroundings and a special thanks to our guide, Friedrich, who gave us such an insightful and interesting tour in English. A real highlight of our holiday

A must visit villa which tells a certain part of both Habsburg monarchy and Austrian history. The villa is literally a piece of art and has huge gardens which makes it best for strolling.

Guided tour in German lasts 45 minutes. We missed the 1030 tour, had a coffee at the outdoor cafe, and joined the next at 1115. Laminated notes in English, and several other languages, are enough to give the gist of the Kaiser's villa and his family life. The current (11 June 22 - October 22) Dirndl exhibition in the Cottage is well presented.

This is one of those wow places. The villa is a historical gem and the tour guide there explaines everything so nicely. Staff is not only trained to say some things, but they actually know things you ask them.
If you park in the middle of Bad Ischl it is not hard to find, it is accessible by foot, in thr villa itsed there are many stairs so it is not baby stroller friendly (but you can leave the stroller in the loby and take you baby with you) or wheelchair friendly. But you have many things to see outside since the park in quite big, flora is impressive and also some spots on the way through the park.
You must try icecoffe with chocolate sauce and cream in the garden - yum.

A very special place. Here you feel the way how the Austrian Empire lived. Empire „Franz Joseph I“ spend practically every summer in Bad Ischl. The Villa is full of memories. Being there, you should also visit the great park.

One of the best historical places I've been! If you love learning and visiting places with royal and historical significance, this gem is not to be missed. The home is still kept up by the Habsburg's descendants, and is a rare historically accurate masterpiece. The rooms we toured are mostly all kept the same way they were left by the Kaiser and his family, and the interiors are intact from that time. The tour was in German, but they had English written guides for us to follow. Our guide was so kind and also elaborated his best in English and let us really explore and appreciate the rooms and get a feel for the home and amazing history that happened there. The park was lovely and the walks around very nice. Highly recommend visiting and enjoying the incredible local scenery!

Nice big English style park and view of Villa belonged to the emperor Franz Josef and Empress Sisi until 1912. Park visit costs 5€ and tour of Kaiservilla cost a few Euros more.

Lots of history. You should go and take the guided tour through the villa. This was the place where kaiser Franz Josef lived. This is the place where he signed the war declaration to Serbia which started world War 1.

A magical place. You must arrive according to the times of the instruction and find out in advance about the instruction in English. Entry is accompanied and guided only and not independently. A fascinating family story about the Kaiser and his family.

We took the house tour and walked the grounds. It's a beautiful home with much of the originals furniture and the story of the Kaiser and his wife is interesting. The grounds are beautiful and natural. We walked into town for lunch.
