Awesome place to visit even at summer and fall. The topmost ski lift works untill Oct 28th. There's a nice cafe or two at the highest ski lift stop. Coffee, beers, food and snacks there.
If you go to walk hiking up from the topmost viewpoint stations, there are few hiking trails to the neighboring peaks which are even higher altitude, going to Schranker peak will give you narrow steep climbing adventure of 1-2hrs one way with a 70degree rope trail climb in the end. Good tracking shoes are a must...

It's such an amazing place. We just stopped by for lunch in the clean air, but we're definitely coming back for the winter holidays.

Great view, awesome skiing

Despite the bad weather there were well prepared downhill trails. The staff was extremely nice everywhere and the cuisine in the Bärenhütte was great. The best goulash soup I have had in a long time.

Wonderful, but whatch out the caws! Especially the male ones! Fast and furious! A 200 group of apparently calm caws literary coming toward us… frightening!!!!!

Nice artificial lake with a great view and an adventurous (risky) but rewarding hike up to the Schrecken.

Skiing in these ski areas with our kids was a really good choice. Especially Wurzeralm seems to be ideal for small ski-beginners: rather easy and short slopes, kids park And child-friendly staff.

Overall a very good Ski-resort. It might not be as big as the main ones in Salzburg and Tyrolia, but it certainly is less crowded with foreighn tourists that do not know how to ski. The slope range from beginners, to very advances("Hannes Trinkl downhill slope" highly recommended!!), and there's quite some options for food and drink. Personnally, I also enjoy the convenient location close to the highway.
