Glockenspiel

Reading the reviews some people seem to confuse the restaurant Glockenspiel and the actual Glockenspiel (Bell Chime). At the full hour the little bell tower starts playing a tune and little figures come out of the old mechanical Clock and dance. Very charming.
The restaurant bears the same name and is in the same location.
They change up the what tunes the bell tower will play depending on the season, for Christmas is plays Christmas tunes. If you visit Graz make sure to stop by and take a look at the Glockenspiel. The restaurant is also not bad.

Beautiful clock (not as old as it appears) was only added 100+ years ago. Building is 800+ years old

Chimes/performs 3 times a day

The Glockenspiel is functioning 3 times a day (11.00, 15.00 and 18.00). We arrived at the place at 18.00 and we saw the carrion working. The music goes on for about 15 minutes.

Nice experience. The clock plays the melody at 11.00, 15.00 and 17.00. It lasts for about 5 minutes.

Big tourist attraction in Graz. Kids loved it, and so did we :) Where else you get to see clock with the dancing guy in Lederhosen? ;) Dancing figurea show only three times per day (11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.). Don’t give up if it doesn’t start at time - when we went to see it it was some 5min late. In the end of this “clock play”, “golden” rooster (hiden above the clock) crows :)

Excellent food and service aside from one waiter who chose to ignore international customers. Once we had a proper waiter, everything was perfect. Their beer is awesome and good scenery.

I never ate something that wasn't excellent at Glockenspiel. The food is really good quality, I recommend the seasonal dishes. The beer is great and their beer garden very pleasant.

Interesting

Interesant atât ca și melodii, 3 la număr, cât și ca mod de punere în scenă. Suspansul, orele fixe de funcționare ale mecanismului, toate dau o notă de poveste.

Piccola ma caratteristica piazza dove è possibile ammirare le "statue ballerine" in costume tradizionale che si presentano al pubblico quando suonano le campane e si aprono le porte. E alla fine della loro esibizione si ritirano, le porte si chiudono e "canta" il gallo soprastante muovendo le ali

Ganz nett um nach einem Tag in Graz um z. B. 15 Uhr ein paar Minuten inne zuhalten und im Schatten dem Glockenspiel zuzuhören. Ich hatte auch noch das Glück das gerade eine Reiseführerin mit ihrer Gruppe da war und was Satu erklärt hat.
