Bujtina Gjana

The best relaxation place for you and your family. This is a restored, traditional, and characteristic stone building. It is a family owned building for at least a couple of generations. The front yard is spacious and well maintained. There is a large, fully furnished, and working, communal kitchen attached to the main building. There is a dining room indoors if you prefer It, however I always opt for the outside dining place. It is located on the left-hand side of the building, accessible from outside, standard seating. There is a TV set and wifi is free and good strength. The large lounge is comfortable and traditional. All the rooms and bathrooms are spotless clean. I mean, incredibly clean. Very good quality beds and extra clean bedsheets. All the rooms have front facing windows, spacious enough, aired and cool in the summer.
The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They can cook for you a nice meal. You just have to let them know in advance. Albanian and English are the communication languages. However, Google Translate is always handy if it ever gets tricky.
There is plenty of parking space and sensibly arranged.
If you bring kids, they can play at the front, visit the nice surroundings, and check the farm animals, including the two gentle dogs and chicken.

An amazing place to relax! The family is super hospitable. They took care of everything: fresh food from their land with breakfast and dinner, happiness and besides that outstanding views over the valleys.
I would defenitely recommend this place for anyone who is seeking a quiet, peaceful place with amazing food and great hospitality!

Great hotel with the best hosts. Would definitely recommend for your stay, it’s really close to Kukes and also you can use the local public transport. The only disadvantage is that in the house you can hear everything that’s going on.

A most wonderful place! The hosts are very hospitable and nice. The accommodation is neat and clean.
The breakfast was delicious! Everything homemade: yogurt, cheese, crepes and apple jam (and fresh eggs straight from the chicken coop!)

I've had a pleasure to stay in Gjana Guesthouse. Everything about this place was truly local and amazing. The best stay I've had in Albania. Owners of this place had fresh veggies from the garden, own eggs, cheese and rakija. They were hospitable, talkative and lovely. I recommend this place with all my heart 10/10 ! You must visit it.

A perfect place to enjoy nature and Albanian hospitality. The elderly couple are the best hosts you can imagine.

Wonderful place !

Hervorragender Haltepunkt für Motorradtouren mit einem geradezu familiären herzlichen Charakter. Empfehlenswert sicher auch für andere Reisearten, werde ich bei den nächsten Touren in Albanien auf jeden Fall auch mit Umweg dieses Gasthaus ansteuern. Allein der Gastwirt, der mich nach meinem Unfall in den nahen Serpentinen mit seinem PKW bis nach Kukës gefahren hat, verdient zehn Sterne in Gold. Danke noch mal für die freundschaftliche Bewirtung und Gruß aus Berlin Andreas Teuscher!

Ich war auf einer Radreise und hatte mich spontan für eine Übernachtung entschieden.
Die Zimmer waren gut ausgestattet und sehr gepflegt. Das Betreiberehepaar war sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Essen war selbstgemacht und reichlich. Ich war mit allem rundum zufrieden. Am beeindruckendsten ist aber die Landschaft. Ringsum grünbewachsene Berge, die teilweise höher als 2000m sind.
Das Hotel liegt recht einsam und ruhig. Es ist also etwas für Naturgenießer.

A hely rendkívüli, minden tekintetben! Minden patyolat tiszta, gyönyörű rendezett környezet! A házigazdák is nagyon kedvesek voltak! Nagyon finomakat ettünk is, itt! Csak dicsérni lehet!

Wir blieben nur eine Nacht, da wir am nächsten Tag von Kukes wieder nach Hause geflogen sind. Obwohl wir spontan vor der Tür standen, wurden wir mega herzlich aufgenommen und haben uns den ganzen Abend am Holzofen des netten Betreiberehepaars aufgewärmt. Das Zimmer war sauber und die Betten super bequem, es gab sogar eine warme Federbettdecke, so war es schön warm. Das Bad ist zwar geteilt, aber außer uns waren keine weiteren Gäste da, so hatten wir es für uns alleine.

In einer beeindruckenden Berrgwelt befindet sich diese wunderschöne Unterkunft, die von ihren herzlichen Gastgebern mit großer Leidenschaft geführt wird. Das gereichte Essen ist regional/aus eigenem Anbau, reichlich und schmackhaft. Ein Besuch lohnt sich!
