Villa Çelaj "The Castle" - Krujë

Great experience. The location is perfect. The view is fantastic. You can see the Castle of Kruja and a marvellous sunset. There are three bedrooms in a functional kitchen, and we enjoyed the fireplace so much. The jacuzzi and the pool are great for kids as well. We used the jacuzzi and not the pool as it was a cool weather.

Great place to be with friends and family. Spacious area, great kitchen with all tools to cook anything, very comfortable living room with fireplace inside, and a fireplace outside by the Jacuzzi for winter and summer, swimming pool is a wonderful use after Jacuzzi. Historical areas to visit around the city. You can hike up to the top of the mounting, eat locally in the restaurant around, visit the castle. Above all you can drink a cup of coffee in the terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery in front of you.
Overall highly recommended.

Stayed in the Amazing Castle for 3 nights and faultless. Accommodation was spotless, facilities fantastic and the Host was the most friendly property owner I have met. Met us for coffee. Let us check out late.

What an amazing Villa situated in the beautiful Kruje. The villa is perfectly positioned for exploring Albania, taking time out to swim in the pool or relax in the Jacuzzi, it has it all. The views are stunning across to the castle and out to the beaches of Durress, nestled in a mountain backdrop - a Villa with beautiful architecture inside and out. Flamur, the owner is a true gentleman who ensures you will have the perfect stay for your time in Villa Celaj. We have never been to Albania before but will definitely be back after such a fantastic stay!! 😀🇦🇱

This villa is perfect! It has everything you need!! The house owner is a lovely person and contact with him is great. The pool is extremely nice and the hot tub makes it complete. Utilities are great, for example there are more towels than you’ll need. The view is worth a million dollars. We would highly recommend this villa for a family vacation or a vacation with friends. This place is magical ❤, make sure to be here!!

We loved our visit to The Castle. The pool was magnificent and the hiking just behind the residence is perfect. They are dog friendly and lit dogs both had a wonderful time. This place is perfect for a family of any variety.

There is a gastric resultant within walking distance up the hill. The sunset from the varanda is breathtaking.

10/10 place to stay and a 10/10 host. Went above and beyond while we stayed for the weekend. He is absolutely fantastic and a lovely person. I will simply come back to Albanian just for him :)

This villa of Flamur's was simply magical. It is difficult to know where to even begin. The memories created here will never be forgotten as I had booked it for my future father in law's birthday weekend. This is the type of property to really sit back and enjoy :-) The jacuzzi has room for well more than 8 people in my opinion even though we were only a group of seven. It was also great that there is a large full-sized bathroom on the first floor and all of the other floors which makes for a well-designed "castle." At night this place becomes like a fairy tale. The fire place on the first floor is great in case it is raining or for guests that would rather be inside. Flamur also provided plenty of firewood to keep the fire going during all hours of our stay. So many thanks to the host for creating such an experience. Most definitely will return and I am thankful for what Flamur has created to guests in this beautiful Country of Albania. A+

Super. This vila is in the best location of kruja. It has amazing horizon view with big city of durres, and adriatic sea. Rock view in the back side IS also amazing. Acomodation, and inside is crazy, look like museume of kruja

It was so comfortable and warm , perfect for this cold days. I also loved the view and how the villa was a mix of traditional and modern architecture.

Flamur, the castle owner and host, is the very best AirBnB host our family has encountered in 9 years of many other great AirBnB experiences!!! I read many reviews on Albanian rentals before picking this one, and Flamur exceeded my expectations. By far. He genuinely wanted our family to feel welcome and cared for. He gave great recommendations on where to eat, and the best one was even willing to do door-to-door delivery (Horizont Restaurant). Flamur recommended Olti Taxi for all of our transportation needs, and this turned out to be 5-star service which was less cost than renting a vehicle, and Olti is a very nice family man. The very very best part of the castle is that we were a 3-generation family of 8 people ranging in ages 1-69, and the space was absolutely perfect with the additional 3rd floor private unit that Flamur graciously offered to rent at a very reasonable additional cost. We used the castle as our home base for the beginning and end of our Peaks of Balkans hike through the Alps of Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. To our knowledge, we are the first American family to attempt the trek with 3 generations, including one and three year olds as well as a pregnant mom, plus 2 senior citizens with back and knee issues. What a crew! We’ll always hold Flamur close to our heart because he was particularly helpful when the pregnant Mom had a painful medical issue with miscarriage concerns. He and Olti Taxi helped us get immediate emergency care on a weekend. That is the kind people they are. Of course the jacuzzi and pool were an huge hit the entire time, along with stunning sunsets, but you already know that if you’ve read other reviews. Thank you to Flamur for becoming a wonderful ambassador of Albanian peace and hospitality to our family. You are welcome in our home if you come to California.

My wife has posted a more detailed review of “The Castle,” and I can ditto everything she said. The property was delightful for everyone in our 3-generation family group of 6 adults (ages 26 - 69) and two small children (ages 1 and 3). We learned a lot about Albanian culture and hospitality from our wonderful host Flamur. The villa was fabulous …away from the rush of Tirana, but an easy walk down to the village for restaurants or shopping at the bazaar. The view of the valley below is fantastic, as is the view of the mountains above. The pool, hot tub, patios, balconies, and spacious bedrooms and outdoor spaces were just superb. Flamur was available during our stay, and the property is cared for meticulously every day. We used the villa on the front end and the back end of an ambitious family hike through the Albanian Alps. The luxury of the villa was particularly welcome after mountain hiking. I can’t say enough about Flamur’s attention to detail. He really helped make our Balkans adventure unforgettable.

Truly a 5 star experience. The view, the pool, the hot tub, the Furnature and the interior all exceeded my expectations. And the host Flamor was remarkably kind, especially when we had an after hours medical emergency and he connected us with the right people.

Beautiful dreamy villa with huge swimming pool, amazing panorama view surrounding by nature. Nearby you can visit old castle from XV centuary and beautiful lakes, so If you are looking for a relaxing time on vacation this is rthe right place.
