The waterfall is located near Shëgjin village, Shëngjergj municipality🤩. It can be reached by car and the road is very good.
Than you must walk for 500 meters in a signed trail medium difficultly.
Until six years ago, this waterfall was "hidden" between the mountains and apart from the residents of the area, no one knew of its existence.

The waterfall is supplied with water from Mount Gropa and forms one of the tributaries of the creation of the Erzen River. It has a visible height of about 30 meters and winds through spiral funnels at a higher height and less visible to the visitor's eye. The rock formation around it is layered and colored rocks, where red is predominant. In spring and autumn it has an amazing beauty, from the variety of colors. For more explore through the photos and videos 😉

This is a hidden gem right outside of Toronto. If you want to go for a hike and also enjoy this waterfall, It is the tallest waterfall in the entire Albania and it really has a good vibe. It's also very close to some nearby mountains so you can do the hiking as well

Beautiful waterfall within a short drive from Tirana. You’ll get amazing views of Tirana as your drive up Mount Dajti and then crossing to the backside will give you a nice look at the mountains. The road all the way to the trailhead is pretty well paid - with the exception of a handful of spots. There’s a nice little gravel parking area at the beginning of the trail, and the walk has markings the whole way up to the falls. It’s an overall pretty easy hike with one slightly steep spot.

A little paradise. Chrystal clear water from the waterfall flowing through the forest. Beautiful.

Great place to escape Tirana and connect with nature. A good hike (although short) but still nice when you get to the end of the path. And check out the restaurant near the waterfall (Ujvara) where they serve typical Albanian cuisine.

Short, rewarding hike to the waterfall of Domja e Malit. Each way makes for a one kilometer walk with 50 m elevation difference. It includes one steep, narrow segment and many stony, uneven parts. The trail is inconsistent but insufficiently marked.

The only downturn is the spreading "graffiti" by people who feel the urge to leave a mark or perhaps just don't know any better.

The water is really cold even in burnig summer days.

"The Shengjergj Waterfall is a hidden gem that showcases the raw beauty of nature. Its cascading waters, framed by lush greenery, create a mesmerizing sight that is both tranquil and awe-inspiring. The sound of the water crashing against the rocks is soothing, making it a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The well-maintained trails leading to the waterfall offer a moderate hike that is rewarding in itself. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer, or simply looking for a peaceful retreat, the Shengjergj Waterfall is a must-visit destination that will leave you captivated by its natural splendor."

Amazing narrow and ~100m tall waterfall. It could be the nearest to Tirana and Dajti Ekspress. The Streets leading to it are easily accessible in summer with amazing scenery as they’re on the mountains. Once you reach the destination, expect a 20-minutes walk where you have to follow the red arrows painted on the stones pointing towards the direction. Once you reach closer there should be some larger stones that one needs to climb in order to reach this beauty. The water is clean, cold and refreshing and the lake is small and shallow.

The Shengjergji waterfall is one of the most famous adventure destinations in Tirana and meanwhile the least explored by its residents. The waterfall is located only 30 km from the center of Tirana, an all-paved road, offering an opportunity to visit it on a weekend morning, and after walking for a while and enjoying the view offered by the Shengjergji forest, the beautiful nature his and the waterfall, you can return again in a short time to your home. If you are going to visit the waterfall for the first time, then some instructions will help you. As soon as you leave the paved road, you have to park the car in a small improvised square and follow the signs of the path which, with a normal walk, can take you no more than 15 minutes.

The path, for the most part, takes you through a beautiful forest with different and dense plants and trees. The path is almost never separated by a path created by the flow of the waterfall with rocks. An easy path to walk along it, but 50 meters near the waterfall it becomes difficult to climb because a part of 10 meters turns into slippery ground. As soon as the slippery part ends, you are close to an amazing beauty, a true oasis in the middle of the forest, where the waterfall falls perpendicularly over the basin it created, from a height of more than 25 meters. The sound of rushing water and the song of the hummingbirds give you a feeling of pleasure and relaxation that you can only experience there.

We were not the only visitors there, we found several couples with children who made room for each other with a lot of love so that no one was left without putting their feet in the water, despite the fact that there you can easily dive into the small pool and try the freshness of the cold water of the waterfall that descends from the height, while the thermometer marked at that time around 36 degrees. A fast food with organic products that we had taken with us and cold water kept in a thermos, went best with all that wonderful view. In the end, we collected all the waste and packed it to take with us on the way back.

I have to admit that it was a pleasant surprise, when the sky was covered by clouds for a very short time, maybe like 3 minutes, a heavy hailstorm started, which just as it started with lightning and hit them, it ended and the nets left after 30 minutes. Because the dense forest and the rocks of the waterfall did not allow us to look up, we did not notice the immediate change in the weather, which after 45 minutes had cleared and the heat returned again. All wet but with the most beautiful impressions, I left and took the way back, holding the wet shirts as a curtain on the car windows to dry on the way back. In the end, it was a beautiful day to remember for a long time.
