Interesting archeological site with lots of signage. The gate was closed and no one was in the ticket booth during open hours on a Thursday. However, the gate was easily bypassed on foot and we spent several hours roaming the ground in complete solitude save for a flock of sheep, two dogs, a few birds, and a ton of insects.

One of my few five star ratings. This park outside Gjirokaster is an historical dream. The site is extensive and has many excavated sections. Information is in Albanian and English. When we visited the wildflowers were out and it was magical. You could almost imagine the bustle in the Agora! The site is a special place so, please, pay the entry fee instead of 'sneaking in' for free. It's only a few dollars and helps keep these sites open and maintained.

Really nice place for a late afternoon hike. See pictures for timetable. If you go after opening hours, don't worry, you can enter by foot anyway. Take water and a snack. Enjoy!

Ruins of a whole fortified city, surrounded by beautiful views and landscape. 1/2 hour drive from Gjirokastra. Bring plenty of water as it's a good walk

Добрался из Гирокастры на велике... Не советую так делать)) но я в карантине, другого транспорта нет... Тут никого! За вход 400 лек платить не пришлось))
