Homemade Food Lili

I have to say it is A MUST TRY if you go to Berat! Lili and his wife makes the best food I've eaten so far here in Albania. It is authentic, tasty, and fills your stomach very well! Lili is the nicest dinner host ever, he never fails to fascinate us with his stories and never fails to make us laugh with his humor. He invited us to drink Raki to close the dinner! Truly a sample and role model of Albanian hospitality.

The most incredible Albanian experience! We had the best night tasting the amazing food here. Lili is a wonderful character and the food made by his wife is absolutely delicious. We will 100% be back if we visit Berat again. Thank you Lili for a very memorable meal!

Lili is adorable, he is funny, attentive to his guests, responsive. His wife's food is excellent, traditional dishes of great quality. They make a wonderful couple. I highly recommend them. This place is heaven on Berat! It’s like eating on your family reunions meals, like old time. Lili is a one kind of a force of nature!! The food is prepared in their own kitchen house, made with the love as it was your mother cooking!! And Lili what a great host, can’t forget his smile when he welcomed us downstairs!! This place doesn’t have price, go go go…

I had the most wonderful full Albanian hospitality experience, not just a meal. Lilli is enthusiastic and passionate about customer service and he carefully explains each menu item and ingredients. The food was delicious and the intimate restaurant with just 4 cosy little tables in winter was perfect. All the guests mingled and chatted and it was like being in a family home. Thankyou for an experience I will always remember.

Lili is amazing! The food was the best we had in our trip so far. What we like when having dinner somewhere (besides the food quality) is to have a good time. Lili his hospitality is the best of the best. It’s like you are eating in someone’s home (backyard). He is kind and loving and really enjoys to serve you. Would recommend 1000% if you are in Berat. Be sure to make a reservation!

Best meal we had in Albania! Lili is such a wonderful host, always smiling, remembers everyone's name and you can't help but smile. The food is excellent, small choice on the menu which means the quality of each dish was fantastic. You do need to make a reservation at least a few days in advance though be warned! Absolutely worth the wait.

This was the most unique dining experience we have ever had! Located in the most scenic part of Berat, Lili and his wife's restaurant is not to be missed.
Lili gave us the warmest welcome, making us feel as comfortable as possible, and continuously checking in on us throughout the night, and calling us both by name.
The food was some of the most spectacular food we have ever eaten, bursting with flavour. It's easy to tell that Lili's wife puts a lot of love into her food.

To say this place was a pleasant surprise is an understatement. It was probably the smallest restaurant I have ever eaten in but also one of the best places I’ve ever eaten in. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but Lili the host was one of the sweetest people on this planet. He explains every dish and in what way you should eat it! If you don’t come for the food, come for the company. One of my favorite parts of berat as he made it feel like home. I could not recommend more!

Lili was the embodiment of "Albanian Hospitality" everyone talks about outside Albania. Absolutely top tier food with vegetarian friendly options (pictures do not do it justice) & homemade rakia all in a small cozy space. Lili was obviously the star of the show and was an incredible host. A must-visit when you're in Berat

This is not just a restaurant. The word 'homemade' has a meaning. Lili is inviting you to their home and his wife is cooking for you. This is the most important thing to understand.

Once you know this, everything makes sense. You will have the best evening you had on your trip to Albania and you will eat the best food, best wine and best raki you can have. All thanks to Lili and his amazing family. The food, Lili and the connections you make with the other guests make this a unique experience.

The best dining experience in Albania! We felt so welcomed by Lili and his wife.

One of the most unique dining experiences I've had in all of Europe. In this tiny little courtyard up the top of the beautiful, rocky old town, I felt like I’d been welcomed into Lili’s home, he is such a kind and welcoming person. His wife Mirella's food was delicious (get the Tavë Kosi) and the homemade red wine was great as well. It was quiet as it was winter but apparently gets very busy in summer. A true Albanian experience.

Me and my girlfriend went here because of the good reviews but did not know what to expect. What we got was probably the best and most unique restaurant I have ever been to.

Lili made us feel so welcome as soon as we arrived. We had not made a reservation but luckily got a table. The restaurant is very homely and cosy. One of the best things was the way that he explained the menu in such a special way.

The food, which is cooked by Lili's wife, was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend the stuffed eggplant and lamb with yoghurt.

Lili was such a kind and helpful person who made the experience so memorable. I couldn't recommend this place enough if you are visiting Berat.

Absolutely delicious traditional Albanian home made food. We choose the whole menu, which was quite a lot for the 3 of us. A really intimate dining experience, where you can chat with others. Lili is the host with the most, he remembered our names throughout the night and engaged in many conversations. He’s very entertaining and genuinely a lovely chap! I highly recommended booking, as this is a very small establishment. Lots of walk ins arrived and were sadly turned away.

“Out of this world” is the best expression to describe the food, service and atmosphere of Homemade Food Lili.

I spent 10 days in Albania and I did not eat something so delicious as I ate in this restaurant. You can feel the love and dedication they put into every dish in every bite.Even better than the food is the service. The kindness of the family managing this beautiful restaurant makes you feel at home.

My recommendation: if you are going to Berat, do not miss this places! But book via whatsapp way in advance (weeks if possible), because it’s extremely difficult to get a spot there!

This is a must do if you're visiting Berat. Incredible hospitality and delicious food. Lili seems to speak tons of languages and is a very interesting and friendly man to speak to. Seemed like most of the customers were tourists, but it still felt like an authentic meal. Lili's wife must be working hard, because we got our food in about 10 minutes!! We came on a Tuesday night and were the first table in without a reservation, but the rest of the tables seemed to be reserved, so make sure you make a reservation or come on a quiet night! All in all an unforgettable meal!
