SHKOM BLETA Restaurant

Some travel dining experiences are memorable. Others can be defining. Shkom Bleta forever defined Albanian cuisine for me.

I came late in the evening and used my translate app to ask if they were still serving. They pointed me to a table then nervously chatted among themselves.

I was nervous at first. That was soon dispelled when a young lady came to my table and started conversing with me in English. She said she was the cook and asked what I was hoping to have. I told her a small traditional Albanian meal. Her eyes lit up and she said, "That is my specialty! I will make something just for you!"

About fifteen minutes later I was presented with the most mouth watering array of small bites imaginable. A small bowl of lamb stew, some cheesy potatoes, various salads, mild peppers, and a slice of filo pie and corn bread sticks. Everything was absolutely delicious.

She came back to visit with me and we chatted for a long time. I told her how grateful I was for the delicious meal and she thanked me for honoring her. At the end I was presented with a slice of trelice cake, a local delicacy. It was the moistest slice of cake I ever ate.

I will never forget my spectacular meal at Shkom Bleta, and the wonderful young cook who made my stay in Albania special.

The food is one of the most delicious that you can't get enough eating 😋

The only thing that they have to change is that they should give a bill for transparency.
Who goes to a restaurant is prepared to spend but I am sure that people would like to see the bill and know what are paying for.

Excellent traditional meal. Can cater for vegetarians too. Excellent service and attention by staff. £26 for 4 people including drinks. Highly recommended.

Great place with delicious food and attentive service. The food is freshly made and restaurant it’s always busy. We stopped for a quick dinner on Monday and luckily were able to find a table and enjoy a nice dinner on a beautiful summer evening. Will recommend if you are looking for Albanian cuisine, lots of different meats and old Albanian dishes. Thank you

We stopped unexpectedly at this place and were very pleasantly surprised. Not a typical place for tourists as it turned out. The staff was very friendly and eager to serve us traditional albanian dishes, tasty and plentiful. We enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended!

Great food and good prices. You can find a lot of tastes typical from Albania, a lot of meet but you can find some veggie opotions too, truly recommended

I was there for my friend wedding. We had a great time there. The restaurant was very spacious and looked very good. Food was great and it was served hot. I didn't know why it was called the bee rock till I visited the place in-person. The rock whom was next to the restaurant really looked like a honeybee hives.
