Yaba Post Office

This is Nigerian Post Office in Yaba. They have rebranded to enhance their services.

Once received items from the UK and it was untampered with

hmmm.. nice

They recently rebranded and gave the place a new look. I've read good reviews about this place. Items are delivered untampered. I was surprised to find out people still use the post office. I mean the P.O Box system no longer purpolar in this modern age of the internet, but people receive parcels and other things through the post office.

The Iconic Yaba Post Office is one of the remaining government run Services still visible in our busy landscape.
Obviously, since traditional letter writing was rendered obsolete by email and Social media, these structures are only now been sustained by some online stores who depend on these post offices as holding posts for items ordered online.

I maintain my mum's PO box here. I lost the key early this year and I applied for a new one and was asked to pay 800 naira which I did. I was then asked to check back in 4 months (Imagine that). When I eventually did, their said it wasn't ready and was asked to check back in another 4 months or wait for a call.... Still waiting.

That aside, I regularly recieve orders from AliExpress here and they usually ask for a handling fee depending on the size of your package.

The structure will make do with a make over.

Goodwork

The Post office just looks dead but it’s very functional. Postal Services is still going on here. I receive items from China, Korea and Singapore Regularly from here. You can also send stuff via Regular post or EMS which is their express service. Government really needs to improve the services and look of the post office. Most times they don’t have light 💡 (electricity). Like this morning when i was there. They couldn’t track my items because they din’t have light.

Unmaintained facilities, some members of staff were not so courteous and some extra charges came up as well.

At least, parcels were not lost in transit and they sometimes send messages when your parcel arrives.

I still prefer the door delivery option whenever possible

Looks abandoned and very old, though it is still functional, but services are not very effective due to epileptic power failure.

You can send and receive packages from Yaba post office, though your packages might be delayed atimes due to their ineffectiveness.
