This little gem is such a nice stroll. If you are going to visit get ready for a walk , the place itself it huge and the attraction is pretty smaller compared to the beautiful area surrounding it. You can get some good viewpoints of the city from the top .

Peaceful and beautiful place in Prague. It’s a bit far from the main squares and bridges which makes it even nicer because it doesn’t get as busy. You can also enjoy some coffee at one of the cafes. Visiting the church is a must!
The paintings on the walls and ceiling are completely different from the rest in the city, one of the most beautiful I’ve seen personally. Overall, this place is lovely!

One of my favourite places in Prague. Views and sunsets from here are incredible and there is a park where you can have a picnic. I highly recommend to come here.

This is one of the best site we visited in Prague. It combines wonderful views of the city and river with beautiful church/cemetery. We took the underground casemates and gorlice tour which was amazing. It was very laid back and not crowded like Prague Castle or elsewhere in the Old Town. Highly recommend you spend some time here during your Prague visit.

Unexpectedly spectacular. Slightly off the tourist trail we took a tram out to the fortress. It's free to walk around but we were able to join a tour of the tunnels which cost a small amount. This was a fabulous tour which explains the history of the fortress. You also get to see some of the original statues from the Charles bridge.

You should take 1 hour to stay, relax and enjoy the view. The area around is also nice. Be aware it’s uphill! But it’s totally worthy it.

Ps: the electric scooters are not strong enough to go up, trust me I tried 😅

Vysehrad is an amazing place! It includes the beautiful Cathedral of St Peter and Paul, a big park, many warm places to have coffee or food and a nice view because it's quite high!! Definitely visit!!! I went there in January so the trees weren't blossomed but still it was worth it!!! There is a metro station called Vysehrad but you have to walk a bit. Don't worry! You'll find signs on your way there so you won't get lost!!! It was time for me to go when the lights went on so I got to see the cathedral bright!

Unbelievable!

Amazing view to the city and riverside.

The church with black exterior colour is exciting and worth to visit if you are in Vienna. Entrance is free

Monuments next to church are amazing piece of art which completes this masterpiece

The exterior of the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul is dark and foreboding, but step inside and you are transported. It is like walking into a storybook with floor to ceiling art nouveau murals. I have been in countless churches and cathedrals, but have never seen anything quite like this.
The complete grounds of Vysehrad are fascinating as well and provide beautiful vistas across the river to Prague Castle.

Vyšehrad is a hidden gem! The church and graveyard are exceptionally beautiful, providing a serene and captivating atmosphere. What's even better is that it wasn't crowded during our visit, allowing us to fully appreciate the tranquility. The presence of parking spaces inside adds to the convenience. A must-visit for those seeking beauty and peace in Prague!

Wonderful site to visit in Prague with a gorgeous romano-catholic cathedral sorrounded by one of the most exceptional art cimitery and breath taking landscape over the Prague. I totally enjoyed the time that we've spent on here.

Not as popular for tourists as the castle, Charles Bridge and the clock etc. but definitely worth a visits. 10 mins walk from Vysehrad metro station on the red (C) line. The views are fabulous especially at sunset. It is quite a size and ever so peaceful. But most of all the cemetery of Czezh artists from nineteenth century composers and poets to film directors of the new millennium all in cleverly designed and in some cases, quite extreme, grave stones. Make sure you leave the cemetery before 6pm or the gates will be locked and you’ll have to call the police. This happened to me and my (Czech) friend. Who should’ve known better.

What a magnificent place to visit in Prague. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Different parts of the area will give you different views of Prague. It is free to come and enjoy this beautiful place! Plenty of green areas for picnics, benches to recuperate, and fall colors to enjoy the fall vibes. Did I say it's free!? Plenty of area to wind down.

I highly recommend visiting this place if you're ever in Prague--it is so worth it.

A great historical fort with various viewpoints across the city of Prague. There is an old church and a cemetery along with other small monuments. It's a great place to roam and have a picnic with family along with scenic views of the city.

We did all the main sights in Prague and had some extra days so decided to go to this old fortress site. It was snowing all day so no pretty views from the top but the place was still pretty and fun to go around. There's a nice church, a huge graveyard, a cellar with the original statues from the Charles Bridge among others. Most of the sites are paid but we had fun just going around the grounds.

Lovely fortress complex close to old town. It has a much more imposing structure and defensive feel than of Prague castle. A quick 30 minute walk around the grounds is enough to appreciate the size and scope of the fortress. It also has wonderful views over Prague and Prgaue Castle. There are multiple entrances and exits with free toilets at the east end.

No tickets are needed with the groudns being free however entering buildings will cost.

Great views, great place to stroll around. If it's winter you might want to have some warm winter clothes as this place can get windy and cold due to the altitude.

Beautifull location with great view. I recommend buying tickets for fortress tunnels which include guided tour. Gide was very frendly and story behind Višehrad fortress very interesting. Really enjoyed. It also includes visit to room where several original statues from Charles bridge are stored.

Fantastic place to walk around & easily located by walking down the river. The cemetery has wonderful monuments to the great & the good. Beautifully kept, and you can walk around
the fortifications, getting brilliant views of the river.

Vyšehrad is a very beautiful church , with nearby chemistry and view points.
The church is breath taking. The chemistry is gloomy but the atmosphere is very pleasant.
If you have press card it will not work on entrance, you will still have to pay but is is worth it.
Must visit if you are in Prague.
