One of my favorite of our MS State Parks (and that's saying something bc we have some gems). The primitive area is perfect for tent camping, more than just a patch of woods but also not a total glamping spot, it's the perfect middle ground. They also have a golf course, cabins on the lake and lodges for bigger groups. Beautiful lake and walking trails. Great little weekend getaway if you live within a couple hours of McComb.

We went primitive tent camping on the lake. There is cell service. I have half full bars. Was only $20! I brought my daughter and our dog.

Fun getaway for a night.

I love the peacefulness of this place. I trained for a full marathon here every Saturday morning for months. My son had his senior photo session here. I love boating here especially going to the back of the lake through the marsh with so much wildlife & then onto the river.

Absolutely beautiful campground. I highly recommend staying in one of their brand new Tentrrs. This full canvas tent comes equipped with a memory foam bed and Propane heater to keep you warm when the wind is whipping on the lake. Also has two Adirondack chairs, fire pit, and picnic table. Brittany was my Tentrr guide and she was so friendly and refilled my Propane tanks as needed. These are still somewhat primitive sights so you will need to bring a camp stove and plenty of drinking water, but the campground restrooms were very close. The views can not be beat!

Great place. We visit often. Never had a problem. Be mindful whenever there's an event at somewhere called "on the bayou" the noise (music) is extremely loud. But this is not the campground's fault. Our recent stay was not so great on that Saturday because of a wedding at The Bayou. The music was so loud from 5pm to at least after midnight. Again, nothing to do with Percy Quinn but making you aware.

Beautiful place. Very affordable. We are celebrating my son's birthday here, 2 years in a row. We have bonfires, walks around the lake. Golf course is very nice. Great family memories.

We were here about 5 years ago. In my opinion it's gone downhill. The amount of trash on the banks, still no pool. Need more places for children, like a park. The beach could have sand and a gentler way to get in . (Rocks) . The bathrooms are horrible and filthy. It is a beautiful state park if they could get it cleaned up and add some things would be great

Finally, my wife and I took a quick look see, and I was totally amazed. I love the open space and beautiful care that the staff puts into keeping this place beautiful. The ranger was very sweet and helpful. I can't wait to have a picnic and fishing day here.

We went during the week and it's a nice place to go to get away and just relax. The cabins are nice but bring your own utensils and cookware if you're going to cook. There's plenty of stores and restaurants close by too.

My favorite campground! Could use a few more amenities but I love it. I think it could be improved upon but I'm sure it being a government park hinders things being done more efficiently.

Update 3/23 we still love it but the price hike is a bit crazy considering there are no amenities.

Had our 1st stay here Saturday night. It's so beautiful. Our views from the camper was priceless. We will definitely come back.

*EDITED* To ADD We had to file a report with office and police. the guy in pics.. he stole our cooler then listed to sell it on local marketplace. Beware.
Call the Pike County sheriff's office with any information to his where abouts.

Cabin rental was great with large screened in back porch and a wonderful view of the lake. Fishing with the family was a blast!

Absolutely love this place. My family has been coming here for more than thirty years. Twice a year. Lots of love here. Beautiful place. Plenty to do. Has a pool, lake, game room, picnic area, play ground, trails, cabins, camp ground, small church at wayside in the woods beautiful. Place to make beautiful memories at. I grew up coming here and now my kids are growing up coming here also

We love coming to explore, fish, and camp. Great for kids! The trails are a favorite. They do need to be cleaned up a little bit (fallen trees and mud) but still great!

One of my favorite places to hike, fish, camp, and kayak. You get the best of both worlds with the lake and the river. And everything is very well maintained.

Golf course was in great shape as always. Been several years since I last played there. Friends and I had the best time. Definitely going back soon.

Loved this place! What a wonderful experience!
We arrived Friday night and had to get our key at the ranger's station. Super nice lady there.
We were in cabin 16 (a sign under our cabin number warned us to beware of alligators. LOL) .
We found our cabin (it's a park so there are very few lights. It's pretty dark at night. ) and it was adorable. Delightfully rustic.
There was a stove, oven, and fridge, a coffee pot, and indoor toilet and shower. It also has central air and heat.
You may want to bring
* paper towels
* dish soap
* hand soap
* coffee filters
* kindling for fire (they sell bundles of wood for about $8. )
* lawn chairs to sit on the porch (the ones they have out there aren't very comfortable)
* a throw to put over your legs if you sit on the porch when it's chilly (that wind coming off the lake is frigid! )
* extra blankets

We brought sleeping bags and put them on top of the bed. They do have sheets and a bedspread on there, but we just preferred our way. The bedspread was pretty thin.

It was very clean and cozy. Was it pristine? No.
IT'S NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL, IT'S A CABIN IN THE WOODS!
If you want pristine accommodations, go to a hotel.
If you want a cozy, charming cabin experience, go here.
It has a few dings and bumps, but I imagine it's like the velveteen rabbit - the guests who've come and gone just loved all the fur off of it.
It isn't a hotel room, it's an experience.

We love camping at Percy Quin. It is a very well kept park. All the RV campsites are nice, especially the ones by the water. Heads up to any children swimming, we did see 4 gators the last time we were there. So, parents be aware. The park is very nice and peaceful, except for when tons of strangers are constantly invading your privacy by walking up and asking numerous personal questions. I understand they’re just being friendly but, my main reason to go camping, is to get away from people. Some people, like myself, just aren’t social…so it’d be nice if everyone respected each other’s privacy.🙂
