This is my favorite Barriques location because of the high ceilings, huge windows, and the fireplace! The seats around the fireplace are well worn with love, but still one of my favorite places to sit and read on chilly or rainy days. The bakery options are all great and we love the breakfast bowls and sandwiches. Their rewards system on the app is great keeps me coming back because every few visits I earn a free espresso drink!

Barriques is a cute, cozy coffee shop/wine shop/liquor store (only in Wisconsin lol).

The atmosphere is lively, but not overwhelming, and the selection of drinks provides a variety of options for everyone.

Staff are friendly and welcoming, with a cherry, helpful air to their service.

I enjoyed my iced chai latte immensely, especially on a hot, humid sunny day. 😋

We love our Barriques, wonderful place to hang out, get good coffee, and do some work. We wish drinks to stay were available in mugs more often rather than to-go cups, but we still very much enjoy the cafe :)

This place is really cute. It is a combination of a cafe and a beer/wine store.

Also, they protect their workers and their community by requiring masks.

So glad I found this place. Came across it randomly searching Google maps. Their iced black tea is some kind of amazing blend that's got some bergamot to it. Got a Blackhawk Breakfast bowl too and that was fantastic. Made to order, super fresh ingredients. They also offer some nice whiskeys by the glass which I will be returning to sample as soon as a I can. Great stuff!

Only been once as I'm not from around here.
When my wife finishes her latte it's gotta be good, and she did! My drip coffee was delicious. Scones delicious and a great selection of them. Also unique breakfast sandwiches but not weird at the same time. I'll definitely go back to one of their locations when I'm back in town. If I had to call out one thing I'd try to improve, the staff seemed a little... Meh. Could use a little more energy. But, I didn't go to chat I went for the quick breakfast and coffee which was awesome.

A nice alternative to other local coffee shops. Not so big on the pastries, but has some great sandwiches. Good tea options as well. It doubles as a wine bar and bottle seller.

The music was downtempo alternative vibes and wasn't too loud. There are lots of different areas to sit in for both small groups and large ones, as well as good tables for people who are there on their own.

Definitely a place where you could easily spend an hour or two working on your laptop or writing a novel. Staff was also extremely friendly and not pushy.

Prices were reasonable considering the area.

Bathrooms are gender neutral and both are wheelchair accessible. Definitely a place worth going!

A fun/dangerous place to wander into. I stopped in for a cappuccino for my drive home. While they were making it I got lost in browsing the interesting wine selections and eventually found myself stuck in the liquor aisle reading reviews about local brands I'd never heard of. I decided to augment my coffee with a bottle of Driftless Glen made in Baraboo Wisconsin bourbon. It was an awesome find. Oh, and the coffee was very nice as well. I'll be back soon.

I really do like this place! I used to work nearby, so this is not the first time I've been here, but it has literally been almost a decade. Walking in here was like a trip down memory lane. I didn't get the coffee this time, but I'd have picked up the baked goods, which are always good. They now have a remote ordering app, which I take advantage of, and then walk in through the side door and pick up the order that's been labeled and is sitting on a table. They are taking the pandemic seriously, as masks are required.

Barriques is my absolute favorite coffee shop in Madison! Hands down best tasting espresso IMO. I love their oat milk lattes, and the location in Middleton has a great beer selection in addition to their wine selection. Very friendly staff. The fact that they have an app now is an added bonus! Love them, highly recommend!

Relaxing atmosphere and a great cup of coffee. I especially like how chill all their employees are. It's a great place to chat with friends, work on projects or sit and respond to emails. Their honey lavender latte is my favorite! It's sweet but not too sweet and a a unique flavor that I have yet to find anywhere else.

Mixed berry scones and chai lattes are my jam. Love this location especially for the comfy chairs by the fire place. Great place to sit and read or get some work done. They have great lunch options too. The Wingra bowl is delicious. I meet friends here for coffee at least twice a week!

The barristas are friendly, helpful and capable. The coffee is brewed well. An excellent selection of wine and alcoholic beverages and the employees are knowledgeable about them. Good floor space and nice atmosphere, if a bit noisy at times.

The baristas are very friendly and always answer any questions I have. The food is very good and the cold brew is strong.

This is a nice coffee shop. It has a decent amount of seating and there are usually a good number of people seated doing everything from studying or reading to having a business meeting to catching up over a cup of coffee or tea. My experience is mostly during the daytimes, and while it sometimes looks very full, you can almost always find a seat. It can be coffee shop loud with the milk steamer and espresso machine noises with all of the seating in same big room, but it's pretty much the good coffee shop white noise type of bustle that works for a lot of folks for background sounds to get things done. They're also a liquor store/wine shop. I can't speak for the wines (not really my thing), but the liquor selections are a fun mix of interesting items that you don't see everywhere, and they seem to have a good representation of local and smaller distilleries. At times, parking can be a short walk, but there are frequently spots in the lot and adjacent street spots.
