Love this place!

I'm not really a "runner" but my workouts have high impact jumps and strength training. Rachel helped me through the process of modeling my feet and gait on their fancy machine, and patiently helped me try on 5-6 pairs of shoes. It turns out I was wearing the wrong shoe size! I'm quite happy with the cross-training style shoes I ended up with.

I've also had great experiences here with my dad (who is older and does a lot of walking), and my son (who has wide feet and needs insoles otherwise he gets ankle pain).

If you walk, run, hike, or just stand, Fleet Feet may help you overcome (or avoid) pain and/or injury. Minimally, you're likely to have a more comfortable life on your feet. Service is my life's work, and I'm rarely this impressed. The whole staff appeared unusually informed, attentive, caring and customer focused. Prices for the several items I considered were the same in the store as the least expensive online prices, so you'll likely spend no more to get the additional benefits of top notch service and professional fitting, plus the benefits of buying local.

I was extremely happy with the personalized service I received at Fleet Feet. When I put out the call on Facebook for shoe brand recommendations, the overwhelming majority of respondents didn’t call out a brand, but instead suggested I go to Fleet Feet. I was not led astray. That’s the first time I’ve ever had my feet digitally measured or my stride analyzed. The person who helped me find the right shoe was attentive and listened to me. After trying on several pairs, I landed on a favorite, but commented on not being 100% happy about the long laces. She swapped them out with a shorter pair and even threw in an extra set of laces on top of that, for free. My new running shoes are the best I’ve ever owned, and I landed on a brand that was the best for my specific feet and what I use the shoes for (not just the trendiest brand or style). I am now a very loyal Fleet Feet customer.

I went in to Fleet Feet Madison the other day to replace my shoes that were approaching their 400th mile. I only browsed the shoes for maybe 2-3 minutes before I was approached by Jessica (who I believe is one of the owners) to assist me.

Jessica had extremely deep and current knowledge about the various brands and models of shoes, especially about how they were currently fitting in the newer models. She recommended that I go up half a size from my usual shoe size to get a better fit in the particular model I was interested in. It sounds like a small thing, but it isn't something that would ever have occurred to me to do, and she was 100% right! It helped too that she was unbelievably pleasant to work with, it was just a fantastic experience. I walked away thinking I underpaid for the service that had been provided, I couldn't say enough about her and the team at Fleet Feet Madison. I was a fan of the store before, but I'm now a customer for life!

The service was great and the experience was warm and personal. I didn’t feel like I was being sold something but rather educated on the best way to move forward in my running journey. I would definitely come back for all my running needs as they develop because this introductory experience was so focused on simply informing me, educating me and me buying something even though that’s what I intended to do I was offered options before making the big step I intended to make😊

What a busy place! And friendly staff. I was there to size and purchase sandals for a vacation, so I can't speak to the running shoe fittings. However, every chair was filled with a person getting good shoes (and a few more waiting for the experience), so I can deduce from that that they're probably really good out what they do. Prices didn't seem outrageous, and the slides I bought are amazing.

From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted kindly and helped one-on-one. The woman who helped me listened to what I had in mind/my experience trying to find a good fitting shoe for working out and guided me to the best shoe for my personal specific fit. She was super nice and helpful, and wayyy better help than trying to sift through hundreds of reviews online to find what shoe would work for me as newbie runner. The personal, intentional care was not only extremely helpful but also a relief because I knew I'd be getting a great fitting high-quality shoe from clearly trustworthy people, and I didn’t have to risk spending lots of money on online shoe orders.

I'll be going back to Fleet Feet for any future running/exercise shoes because they clearly know what they're doing, and they are so kind!

I needed new training shoes for F45 Mineral Point Road, so I decided to try Fleet Feet. Glad I did!! My demands are unique because e/o workout at F45 MPR is either strength or agility/cardio based. They had a great selection of shoes that could accommodate my needs. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful!! 10/10 for sure. I’ll be back in 4 months when I need another pair.

I used to be a big runner, but then life got in the way. I tried picking it back up again but my feet always killed me—I used to just go online and pick the ‘cute’ shoes. My husband and I had a discussion about both of us wanting to get back into working out, me running specifically. We went yesterday and Stephany helped us and she was probably the best thing to ever happen to me in terms of running. She was helpful, non-judgmental, understood my need for cute shoes and went above and beyond. She needs a raise and to be able to clone herself so I can hire her as my personal trainer. She’s amazing!!

Excellent company, I would highly recommend them if you are in need of running shoes. Their customer service is top notch, and their staff are very knowledgeable about shoes, running, and their products. They go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase and provide great information and service. I even had an issue with a pair of shoes, and they were able to help me get fitted with a different pair as well as recommendations on other related running products like socks/bodyglide. If you need running shoes or accessories I would highly recommend checking them out!

We've shopped for running shoes several times at Fleet Feet on Madison's west side and not been disappointed. They pay great attention to your needs using modern tools to find the best shoes to meet those needs. I recommend this store to anyone looking for running shoes.

I took a 7 year sabbatical from running. I tried to replace my worn-out sneakers with a pair that I bought online, but ended up with a giant blister.

Kim asked a few questions, performed some foot scans, and had me trying on some very comfortable pairs in no time.
They had a great selection of brands- even in larger women's sizes. I tried on Brooks, New Balance, and On Cloud that were suited for my foot shape and mostly treadmill preference.

The shoes were reasonably priced (for running shoes) and I left on budget with a great new pair of New Balance that were on sale. I didn't feel pressured to buy anything else, although I was very tempted- especially by the women's apparel.

I always knew I had incredibly high arches, but knowing my actual foot size and that my instep is also especially high should help me buy other footwear.

I already recommended this store to my ultramarathoner sister, who is excited to get fitted by the best!

I am a regular shopper at Fleet Feet Madison. The product selection is wonderful. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable; I always feel welcome and leave the store feeling better informed as well as happy with my purchases.

Fleet Feet Madison & Sun Prairie running training programs are excellent as well; runners at all levels of ability seem to find support and community in one or another of the training programs. I have found a great community of running friends there.

Staff were great, friendly & knowledgeable. They helped me find a great pair of shoes. As a new runner, I felt welcomed when they told me about the runs they put on. I’ll definitely be joining one soon!

FleetFeet has finding the perfect shoes down to a science! We walked in with my growing daughter and Stefany greeted us and escorted us to their measuring platform. Within a minute we were able to see how my daughter's feet measured all around. As soon as the results were in Stefany went to the back room and pulled out 2 shoes. Both fit my daughter PERFECTLY! Stefany even helped her lace them to how they felt the best and then worked on helping her learn how to tie shoes before she starts kindergarten. And the anothet bonus... they were both on sale! We ended up buying both of them thanks to a gift card we had received and my daughter can now run, "SUPER FAST!" 🤣 Thank you for the amazing, pain-free experience. My family looks forward to returning for future footwear needs.

This is to highly recommend using Fleet Feet Run Programs for any novice to experienced runners. Within the 6 months of knowing them, I am very much impressed with the "TLC" I received from all the staff at FF. I was a novice runner until this Spring and now I feel I have move up the ladder quiet a bit. They helped me build my own "Tool Box for running" - no matter where I am starting, I will know how to move forward. Within 6 months, I had my own share of injury, absence (1 month) and so on. But they were flexible enough to accommodate my needs to move around the difference programs. Besides running, they provided good program on Foam rolling and Yoga for runners as well.

For my own accomplished, from a novice runner, I became half-marathon runner and triathlete within 6 months. I am planning to join them again in the Spring to complete my Half Ironman training....

I've been purchasing shoes and other running products for over 10 years at Fleet Fleet Madison. Every visit has been great. Friendly staff and and very knowledged about the products they are selling. I love their training programs. I've been in Speed Play training program for 10 years. This training program has made me a better runner and help me accomplished my goals that I have set for myself. Fantastic experience. I have had some chronic PF problems and they were not only able to understand what was going on (I learned stuff I never knew about my own feet) but were able to suggest some products to help. Not hard sell, just good factual advice.

I came to find out why this store has a 4.9/5 star rating today. I needed insoles for a pair of hiking boots and I’ve never bought insoles before, or had my feet scanned either. I figured it’s time to get with the times, it’s 2023 after all. I’m extremely impressed with the customer service and technology used at Fleet Feet. I was in and out of there with a great insole to help my feet (mountain backpacking) within 20 minutes. I know these are quality insoles by how they feel. And if for some reason they end up not working for my feet, FF offers a 60 day return policy. Can’t beat anything about this store!
