This was a really fun place. Great service. Great beer. Great food. I got the open face brisket with beer cheese soup. Absolutely amazing! Right combo of onion, pepper, & carrot chunks.
I had one of the tapped beers (Golden Strong Ale) and tasted 3 others from friends. Tons of others there. A double wide fridge of various beers. Buy 4 get 30% off all 4!
Had a really great time with friends. When we come back to Wisconsin we'll be there.

AMAZING and then some! Longtable Beer Cafe is an incredible place in its own right, and it was also a spectacular place to host (and dazzle) our nearest and dearest. We had a delicious, fun, and cozy rehearsal lunch with our family and friends, and they all couldn't stop raving about the food and beer. Matt, Andrea, and Justin (owners/manager) ROCKED! And are a huge reason why our event was so successful - they accommodated our party size (giving us the namesake long table as well as another table), helped us make food selections on time, and even gave us a complimentary bottle of an awesome sour beer to celebrate. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are grateful to their spectacular hospitality.

I love long table! Such a fun local casual vibe. A rather intense selection of beers and ciders to choose from in the cooler, but the adventure is fun and Matt/An Drea have curated an exceptional assortment!

Food is always highest quality in ingredients and preparation... It's not cheapo bar food so set your expectations for modest price and gourmet experience.

Shared"long tables" are fun and they create a lovely sense of community.

I have always heard good things about this place and finally decided to stop in with my partner and had a stellar lunch outing. Our server was phenomenal - the only complaint was that we received our appetizers before our beverages, although I'm still not sure whether or not we should have "self-served", as all their drinks are available in a refrigerated beer-shop style case for people to purchase. It'd be nice if the serving staff mentioned if it was okay to just grab your own or if that's expected. It seems like more of a communal place so I'm sure it'd probably be fine. For my lunch I had a trio of tacos and some fries and both were fantastic. We will definitely be back, hopefully bringing some friends!

Absolutely love seeing how Longtable has evolved since they first opened. The lunch rush on the weekend was a bit crazy, but staff was kind and patient, food came out fast, and of course the beer selection is incredible. Get the smash burger!

My first visit here was enjoyable. It's a social gathering kind of restaurant. You can bring in a group of friends, a deck of cards, and just drink and eat till your heart's content.

I had the brisket sandwich with greens on the side. It was absolutely delicious. The brisket practically melted in my mouth. My GF and I shared the cheese curds which were probably some of the best curds I've had in Madison.

They have a fantastic selection of beer. About seven on tap, and an entire wall with quite the variety. They also offer discounts on beers to go! (Unopened of course)

I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a bite to eat; but not if you're vegetarian. Or, if you're looking for a place to hang with a large group.

Lovely atmosphere with delicious food! They have a great selection of local meats and cheeses. They also have a cooler of beer, hard ciders, wine, soda, etc to buy from and drink there or bring home!

Girls lunch out. We thought it was a great atmosphere. The long tables are fun and friendly. The food was delicious albeit a little pricey. The frites were good; go with the Green Goddess sauce. The muscles were enjoyed at our table as well as the goat cheese puff pastry appetizers. The crispy goat cheese and beet salad was excellent as well. We were all pleased with our choices. It is a great addition to downtown Middleton.

I ordered Baked Fish. They brought me Fish Fried. Told the server. No problem, offered to redo the order. I didn't want to wait so he bought me a beer. I ate the fried. It was good.

Had a great experience at longtable. Staff was super nice and accomodating. Food selection had good variety and specials. The food itself was delicious. Excellent beer selections as well. The atmosphere was fun and homey but I could also watch the games which was nice.

Was very impressed with Longtabe Beer Cafe. Was recommended by several locals and I would now recommend as well. Very nice beer selection and great food menu. The grilled cheese was awesome (it is Wisconsin after all) and the cafe offers several outdoor tables. We went on Saturday night after Badger football game and the place was busy but getting table was not a problem. Great service, great menu and reasonable prices with a nice atmosphere - recommend you check it out !

Such a cute, relaxed place. Loved the cheese curds. Loved the chipotle aioli and the mustard museum aioli. Our salads were great! The tea was not my favorite, that's the only thing we didn't swoon over.

Atmosphere is relaxed and the server was attentive. The meat/cheese boards are pricey, but a great pairing if you are having a couple of drinks. Social distancing measure are in place. A great choice for a long lunch or a night out.

We sat at the bar. Always enjoy chatting with the barkeeps at LongTable. My buddy insisted on the goat cheese pastry puffs. I was skeptical. Not anymore. I would eat these for breakfast.

Definitely worth a stop of you're in Middleton!Love this place! Great selection of drinks. The food was better than I remembered. I had the brisket grilled cheese and it was amazing. The brisket wasn't dry and the aged hook cheese was delicious. Usually I'm not a fan of sourdough but it's fits this sandwich so well. I had coleslaw as my side and it balanced the flavors nicely. My wife had the baked cod and loved it. That's a good sign, as she is a brit and knows good fish and chips. The ambience was pleasant although I would love to see them in a bigger space eventually. We ended up there at 5pm on a sat and just beat the crowd.

Downtown Middleton’s casual order at the counter restaurant with better than order at the counter food. The pork sandwich is a good place to start with a long line of bottled beers.

Love this place! Good beer selections, and the food is great. Cheese board, smoked meats, and sandwiches oh my!

The salad with an apple cider vinegaret and the addition of smoked trout was very good. I did enjoy the New Glarus Raspberry Tart beer, which had great Raspberry flavor. If you like fried cheese curds, their's is a must try. The batter is light and crispy, yum!

Came in with my family for lunch on Sunday and was surprised how empty it was. I don’t drink beer but the cider selection was great. My kids were excited that the high tables in little room by the entryway convert into dart boards, so we threw darts while we waited for our food. We loved the frites as much as Brasserie V’s. The lamb meatballs were tasty but a bit dry. The roasted duck salad was delicious and the wild boar sausage was great too. My kids enjoyed their hot dog and pulled pork. Overall a great experience!

Came back for another Sunday lunch and it was nearly empty again. The kids were happy to throw darts again. This time, we got the special—a chili dog. The chili could have been more flavorful but it was good. The beer cheese sauce for the frites favored beer over cheese. We prefer the aioli. The stuffed mushrooms were tasty but you only get 5 small (1-bite) mushrooms, which was disappointing considering the price.
