I love this place. Yes, the games cost a bit more than Target or another big box store, BUT you're supporting the local community. And they have good variety. Even better, they have a great space in the back for gaming. My teen spends time here with friends playing games and afterwards they grab a snack from the co-op grocery store. Much better than getting into shenanigans.

Great selection of games I had never seen before and the staff/owner are all very friendly and helpful! They even have a game library where you can play games in their back room!

This unassuming board game shop actually houses an incredible selection of puzzles, d&d equipment, and (of course) board games.

But, like, actually a massive supply of board games. There are not many shops I've visited that actually stock the rare and heavy stuff. Plus a used section with decent documentation of the game's condition.

We didn't have the opportunity to patronize the play area while we were there, but looks decently-sized.

Amazing place. A little of everything for every gamer. Clean, neat, with an amazing selection, and lovely personnel. There is nothing I would change about this place.

Honestly, we own thousands of dollars in games and found so many new little gems here. And the selection is incredible - whether you're looking for kids, or worker placement, saboteur-type, cooperative, used, dnd, etc etc, you can find something!

As a teacher, I frequently utilize this store to find inspiring games that will challenge my students. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful, and the atmosphere is perfect for all ages. Can't recommend them enough!

I came here for a last minus gift and was so impressed!! Huge selection and the employee was extremely helpful in assisting me. He was able to recommend games based on my sons age, interests, and the level / type of challenge he would enjoy! Really knowledgeable staff who are enthusiastic to help. I will definitely be back.

Excellent local business. The staff was so helpful and welcoming. They were great at helping me and my brother with all of our questions. Aside from selling cool toys games they also have a back area where you can play games with others. It's a great place to meet new people and have fun. We'd love to come back.

Great store!!! Clean, well stocked with a wide, yet robust selection of games. One of the employees, feller by the name of Jason I think, was very helpful and took the time to identify my interests and was very knowledgeable about the games he recommended, without being pushy to make a sale. Just seemed to really like talking about games. Appreciate the no pressure atmosphere. Great selection, great service, great store!!! Highly recommended!

Bright, clean, family friendly, and has a big play area on back - what more could you ask for in a game store? The staff is always very friendly and willing to help. They have a great selection and have special ordered games for me on several occasions. Plus, their used game consignment program is awesome! This is absolutely the game store you've been hoping for.

Our family LOVES this store! They have a great selection for kid and family games, party games and for the more serious gamer. The staff has always been extremely knowledgable and helpful in helping us select a game. One staff member even took my two young daughters and myself into the playing room and sat down and showed us how to play a kids card game (which we bought and still enjoying playing years later). I love all the open games in the back, so you can check it out and try it out before buying. Just a great shop.

This store is great! They have a good selection of a wide range of products (including tabletop minis such as 40k, X-wing, Legion, and D&D, though not Warmachine/Hordes). The staff is very very friendly and helpful. I've also played during some of their game nights and they have a good amount of space. This is where I try and shop for all my board game needs.

These humans were the most knowledgeable individuals regarding their inventory that I've ever interacted with. Not only were they experts on their products, they were kind and gave their honest opinion regarding price, replayability, difficulty, etc. They were always trying to STEER us in the right direction and gave us time to simply browse after they gave a layout of games we may have liked. A professional place with a lot of variety and expertise. Definitely plan on going back for new games and expansions to ones I bought there!

This place is everything a game store should be. The people that work there are extremely nice and knowledgeable. They will do whatever it takes to make sure you have a good experience and will help to recommend a game that will fit your play style and group. I have never played in their back area, but it looks bright and clean. The amount and variety of games they carry is immense and they have a trade in program for people to sell back games that you can buy at a discount. It is simply the best game store around Madison.

Absolutely love it here. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable, always willing to help or answer any questions. The selection in the back room of games to play for free is good, and the gaming room is well put together. Love their events that they hold, too, such as teaching mini painting or learning a specific game. Keep up the awesomeness!

I'm Board is the best board game store I have ever been to. When I was new to the hobby, they were able to answer all of my questions on a whole range of topics. The staff is consistently friendly and eager to help you find the game that best suits your personality. They have a huge selection of games in the back that they let you play for free, and they are constantly hosting cool events so you can try out a game before you decide to buy it (it's how I ended up buying Captain Sonar). They have a huge selection of games to purchase, both new and used. Long story short, if you love boardgaming, you will love this store!

Recently stopped in just to browse and was delighted to find a nice selection of games for my 3 year old. Even better, I had a few dollars in points from their loyalty program! The space is laid out really nicely with a couple of sitting areas and hands-on displays in the front, and a playing area in the back. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection, too!
