It has so many things to play on, and it doesn't get too hot because of all the trees. And even if your not too crazy about parks there is a trail in the woods behind it! Just don't forget to pack bug repellent, the park is right by the lake so there are quite a few misquotes but it's worth it! When I was younger my favorite part was the tire swing.

Nice sized neighborhood park with a good sized kid's playground, a small basketball court, on-site bathrooms, and interconnecting paved paths throughout the park. There's also plenty of benches throughout the park. Parking is limited along the narrow streets. You may have to park a block or so away and there's a boat landing across the street from it.

Nice shady park with a playground that accommodates all ages. Best playground in the area on a hot sunny day. You can see the lake from the swings!

It's my favorite park in Madison, and I'm happy that I live very close to it. They replaced the gravel with poor quality (think splinters) mulch though
