Clasen's European Bakery

A lovely European bakery. Huge selection of interesting treats. Limited seating inside so think more traditional bakery than the modern cafe model. Everything I had was great and an even better sign was the constant stream of a huge diversity of customers.

Have been a customer for many years (12 plus years) and have bought many chocolate birthday/anniversary cakes including one yesterday. I am impressed by the consistency of their quality, richness of taste and reasonable prices. Reminds me of my time in Germany. The in store service is good and during Xmas time love the samples to taste while we shop

This bakery has the absolute best breads and sweet stuff. I really enjoy the almond croissant and my wife loves the morning buns. In season they have hot cross buns in addition to all the other Easter goodies. One of my favorites. Their line of breads is very nice, wirh many varieties.

The bread, buns, cookies, cakes, pies and other wonderful speciality items available are on shelves, tables and coolers like a market. The good things about this "market approach" are you can see it all to examine it up close when you make your choices and you don't have to wait in long bakery lines to be served. However, quantities are limited to the way items are packaged, like morning buns are in a 2-pack, so you cannot buy a single or odd-number quantities; or some cookies are packaged by the pound, so the number you get is based on weight - the examples could go on and on. (They might make more exact quantities for pre-orders, but I don't know.)

The prices are very fair for the quality, but expect to pay more than in grocery store bakeries. It's worth it, but expect it!

Clausen’s is always warm and friendly whenever I shop there. And their food from cookies to bread, from cakes to quiches are delicious. And they always give me a veteran discount. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

We tried a Clasen birthday cake for the first time and it was fabulous. It was 4 layers of yellow cake with buttercream frosting and strawberry jam filling. It was beautifully decorated with flowers, shavings, and fancy writing for my mother‘s birthday. The cake made the celebration all the more special, and everyone loved it. Thank you!

Delicious bread and tasty treats are what they do and they do it well. Prices have really crept up over the past year, so I do buy less when I'm there.

We are truck driver's me and my husband we stoped by a wooodmands store in Jonesville WI to get some stuff for the road, we saw a van parked next to us it was from the Clasen's European Bakery when we came out from the store the driver or owner from this Balery left a cake on our truck stairs we were very surprised and also very touched by it, I wanted to say a big Thank you we really appreciate it, we will visit you guys when we are in town next time, Thank you again 😀

Amazing pasteries. Super clean store. Very nice people. Holidays are an absolutely wonderful time to go in and visit. The store is abuzz with tons of seasonal things. There are often samples to try and a cool house in the back of the store for kids. A really special place to go visit. Plus its locally owned and I like to support that kind of business.

Clasens did our wedding cake for our wedding May 5th, 2018. Before we chose what cake we wanted, they did a wonderful cake tasting with all there flavors. We had a four tier wedding cake and a sheet cake made. The cake was to die for and the buttercream they use is perfect - to too sweet but just sweet enough! Judy, the woman who makes wedding cakes, was so great. She was good at returning phone calls and she was also able to work with our florist to have our cake match our wedding flowers. I would recommend Clasens to anyone! Our husband can't wait till our year anniversary to buy a cake again!!

We purchased a small cake and 140 cupcakes from Clasen's for our wedding in August of 2022. The process was very easy and there were so many options to pick from. Everything was delicious and the cake looked so beautiful. I showed the head pastry chef some pictures of what I liked, and she created the cake of my dreams. And it was also delicious! The cupcakes were a hit as well.

My daughter recently got married and we had Clasen’s do the cake and cupcakes. The bakery was so accommodating to our needs and provided us with the most tasty desserts. The baked goods smelled amazing and tasted even better.

Absolutely recommend the apple cider donuts- possibly the best donut I've had. They have a wide variety of breads, chocolates, and cookies. Their products are kinda pricey but they are very good. Workers are also very nice.

We ordered our wedding cakes from Clasen's and they were spectacular! My husband and I love cake, but find American cakes, especially the frosting, to be too sugary. Clasen's French buttercream solved that problem- it was super creamy and just the right sweetness.

We had 2 yellow sponge cakes (almond and lemon) and a large chocolate decadence cake. They set up a fun tasting platter for us with tiny pieces of sponge cake to be tasted with all of their frosting and filling options, which was free. They even gave us a free standard chocolate decadence cake as part of the tasting, and were able to make us a custom 10-inch 2 layer chocolate decadence cake for the wedding.

Definitely the best wedding cake I've ever had, and the chocolate decadence cake was one of the best desserts I've had in my life. Our guests also loved the cake, and one of my cousins was disappointed that Clasen's wasn't a chain, because that meant he couldn't buy the cakes himself in CO where he's going to grad school.

I needed half a dozen cakes and breads for some teacher gift baskets, and Clasen's came through for me with flying colors. I was nervous about placing an order over the phone for pick-up, because it was a fairly large order and I really needed it to be ready first thing on pick-up day. But they had everything perfectly ready and waiting for me, and purchasing was a quick transaction. The mini chocolate decadence cakes were a perfect gift size, and each cake and bread loaf were individually packaged in a classy-looking and protective way. We received feedback from teachers that both the cakes and breads were delicious. I will definitely purchase from Clasen's again when I need tasty gifts!

Staff were friendly. The chocolate croissant, soft pretzel, and ham and cheese croissant were all excellent.

Everything here is 100% delicious, you're really missing out if you aren't shopping here.
