Uncle Ty's Farmstay

I had a really nice time here with my partner. The location is beautiful and the rooms have a lovely view overlooking the mountains. The family who own this property are so friendly and they have a lovely dog!

We had lunch for 3 people here today and it was fantastic. We had roast pork, pork in là lot leaves, chicken in ginger, morning glory, omelette, pumpkin and so much more I can't remember.
The Family, uncle Ty and Co. where so warm and friendly it was a shame we only stayed for lunch and not for the night.
Highly recommended. If you live in Hanoi and haven't been, you need to get out there.

Really lovely owners, super peaceful, hundreds of butterflies and lots of nature, very simple and basic accommodation, but they will take care of you so well, great escape from the city!

Liked · The host lady was extremely friendly and loving. Dinner was extravagant with 6 dishes, all tasty. The backdrop of Ba Vi mountain range and the rice paddy fields are some unforgettable memory. One highlight of the place is the dogs, they are so caring and fun loving, Gian, My and Ben. You could never have such a great time with the dogs anywhere else. They love you as if you’re their best friends.
Disliked · It’s simple, please come prepared, your DEET, your sunscreen, your personal toiletries and your own swimsuit if you want to jump into the lake. The amenities would not suit those who expect a fully set up homestay or hostel, but it’s good enough for us. Most importantly, be a nature lover and forget about the busy city life.

Warm hosts are very respectful of your privacy, yet always make themselves available. Great experience with incredible authentic food. The food here beats any restaurant we visited in Hanoi. This will be a lasting memory to anyone who stays here. Experience life the old way. Handmade furniture throughout only adds to the charm. 5 star farm accommodations 😀

Lovely place and owner, for those who love a peaceful home, enjoy chatting with locals, taking a walk around, live slowly. Bed and food are good, my family had a big dinner the first day. The children love the farmstay very much for they play with dogs, run after the goats, watch the buffalo coming back from field, swim in the river and try to catch a fish from the nearby fish pond. Great place for my family!

Most incredible homestay I have every been to. The food is absolutely delicious with no shortage of various options between vegetarian and meat. Uncle Ty plays the flute beautifully and if you're lucky he will serenade you during dinner. They are very kind and intuitive to your needs and the price point is perfect for a budget traveler.

Lovely place to escape Hanoi City for couple of days! Food are incredible deliciouuuus! And they do some activities (boat trip on the lake, planting experience, cooking class, cycling...). Owners are really friendly!

Quite rural with beautiful natural surroundings. Sleeping arrangements are very comfortable, there may be the odd spider or bat to say hello to in the night. The people hosting are the loveliest people you could hope for. This also shows through the food served, which is nothing short of sensational. It is worth flying to hanoi and riding a bike til your arse is sore just to eat here.

Nice place, the host is very friendly, and food is just amazing. The downside is too many foreigners.. can't complain too much because I'm one of them but I hoped to see less foreigners at a place like this.

They changed the location already, this one is right, people. I also doubled check with the owner. Please remove your 1, 2 star reviews because their homestay deserves good reputation, friendly staff, very big size and delicious meal. Totally love it and will come back at the soonest weekend

The best place for an escape outside of Hanoi. The food is amazing and the family is so kind. You won't regret going.

Quinh, Uncle Ty and the whole family are absolutely beautiful folks who go out of their way to make everyone’s stay a great experience.

The food was absolutely amazing and there is so much of it, you will have tight pants when you leave! Loads of variety, while we were there we had duck, fish, chicken, beef, dumplings, banana leaf salad, papaya salad and loads of different veggies. Oh and their rice wine!

The activities were so much fun! We fished both In the lake and in their fishpond (and released them back), made baskets of different kinds, went to the market on the tractor, kite Flying, and jamming with Uncle Tay.

There was an awesome rope swing too, which the kids loved. When we went for walks, the family’s dogs came to look after us (and chase sticks): they were such good doggies.

The traditional house is lovely and romantic to sleep in, even in the dorm. They organised taxis for us from the bus stop and gave us great directions. So close to Hanoi yet in the middle of the country: We will never forget Quinh and her lovely family. Memories forever ❤

Incredible place. Very nicer owners and superb food. Located in a small village outside the city. Worth to spend a few days here.

Stunning guest house with wonderful staff, in picturesque surrounding country, best guest house food I've had in Vietnam and very comfortable private rooms priced at 150k, prices listed on map seem to be based on bed, dinner breakfast and beer?
