Lan's home - homestay, hostel, motel Thành phố Cao Bằng

I love everything in Cao Bang. The host was really helpful a lot. From arrange the bus, using the kitchen, and tour. I’ve motorbike tour to Ban Gioc Waterfalls, Nui Mat Than, Nguom Ngao Cave, and Ban Gioc Pagoda, that was good trip with the price!

Located in a friendly neighborhood. Inexpensive eateries left right & center. Super single bed in dormitory, privacy curtain, balcony, clothes rack.
I especially loved having a small table with stool plus jug kettle, allows me to brew my own tea & coffee.
Host arranged motorbike to send me to the bus terminal.

Lan's homestay was perfect! Not only was the accommodation great but Lan was so helpful with organizing transport from Hanoi and organizing an easy rider to take me to Ba Be lake and Ban Gioc waterfall as well as transportation back to Hanoi via an overnight bus. Lan and her team are so wonderful, would highly recommend anyone wanting to explore Northern Vietnam to contact Lan :)

Advantages:
- Room has AC which can heat up air. It is important in winter months
- Room has hot water
- Relatively small street, so there is not much noise
Disadvantages:
- Rooms need to be renewed

Lan’s Home was clean, quiet and comfortable. We booked a private room which also had its own bathroom. It was such a great value for the price and we felt right at home. We loved it so much we wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately, we were unable to book an additional night due to availability but Lan kindly helped us find accommodation at a nearby hostel. She was very helpful in booking transport to Ba Be Lake as well. I highly recommend.

Totally satisfied with the accommodation here! I would choose it again for sure. We rented also motorbike from here and also when we wanted to return to Hanoi the bus picked us up from the hotel, so it was very convenient.

Brilliant Place. Kind people Comfortable mattress. Room is not big but it’s enough for 2. And a lot of windows. Kitchen on the first floor and fridge. Parking
Just one thing I didn’t like it’s a cover for the mattress - Sheets slipped out .

THIS IS THE BEST!
I tumbled onto this fabulous homestay in January for a short stay, then decided to come back for a second stay in mid-February. The room is EXTREMELY clean and tidy. The bed is very comfy and warm for the cold months I was there. I love the room so much that I took so many pictures of the decorations around to show my friends. Good tastes and nice!

The location is in the center of the town, so you could walk to many restaurants, shops, coffee houses, gardens, parks… as your heart desires!

The biggest difference, between this homestay and others in Cao Bằng, is Lan and Hien, these two ladies WILL treat you well during your stay at Lan’s. Because I dealt with Lan most of the time, I know that she speaks English very well and would help you to be comfortable and well fed, if needed. Lan has been fabulous in making sure that had everything I needed during my stay. She could arrange a bike with reasonable rate, show you different options for eatery, get an impromptu 7-seat minivan at last minute… Quite an ombudsman service in Cao Bằng!

Both Lan and Hien truly exemplify real Vietnamese hospitality with grace!

I have nothing negative to say about this homestay even I am quite picky as a international software salesman in my previous life. If you need a place to stay in Cao Bang, stay in Lan’s Home. You won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful homestay, wonderful host! The bed and the room was clean and tidy. I stayed in private room, a friend stayed in the dorm, both of us had one of the best sleep and experience. The host were amazing. Definitely recommend if you want an experience of the real Vietnamese hospitality

A home away from home! I spent one night at lan’s home and absolutely loved it. They invited us for dinner with their family and introduced us not only to the wonderful local cuisine but also to their traditions. They spoke English very well and welcomed us with open arms. They were also able to organize some motorbikes for us to see the Ban Gioc waterfalls and the incredible scenery in between. Overall my favourite place I’ve been to in Vietnam and the best company. The Karaoke was also very fun. Furthermore the rooms were lovely and very clean. Would highly recommend to everyone!! Thanks a lot!

I had a great stay at Lan's home.
My room was super spacious, neat and tidy and the view from the balcony was lovely.
Lan, help me whit everything that I need for a my travel plan .
She gave me good tips about where to eat and travel spots or transport.
It's my best stay and days in Vietnam.
I highly recommend this place, especially because of the attitude towards the guest.

This is a SUPER strong recommendation!
Lan is the best host you could ask for, from the warmest hospitality to great advice on where to eat/drink and where/how to travel. She has perfect English, which makes communication very easy :)
The place is beautifully decorated, very clean, great AC, amazing location. I wish we would have taken photos, but you can look her place on AirBnB and it’s exactly like the photos there.
Lan also invited us to have dinner with her and her friends, which turned out to be one of the best evenings we had in Vietnam as we really felt among friends and at home.
On top of that, we were very pleasantly surprised to learn that Cao Bang turned out to be a fun, vibrating, inviting city. People just say hello on the street and are happy to practice their English:)
Cao Bang and specifically Lan’s place are totally worth every minute!

One of the great spots to stay in Cao Bang town. I arrived when they just opened so everything is brand new, very clean & reasonable price. It is also located in the centre so it's convenient to ride to other sightseeing places. The 2 girl hosts are very friendly and helpful, just ask them what you need and they'll give the best recommendations. I had a great stay at Cao Bang, and the scenery was amazinggggg!

A cozy, spacious & clean homestay. The host is very nice & enthusiastic. They also allow eraly check-in when available, without charging more fee. The old man driver suggested by the host is very skilled & experienced in mountains driving. We enjoyed great time & had nice trip in Cao Bang with related service provied by Lan's homestay.

All good!! In fact thanks to Lan we had a fantastic stay. She had fed us useful travel information and even arranged for a bus transfer to Ha Giang (which we wouldn't have otherwise figured out)!

Great value stay near Cao Bang. Room was cozy, cute, and comfortable with hot water and Wifi. Hosts were friendly and let us use shared kitchen downstairs.

Brand new and beautiful property. Ambiance is very nice of this home stay. It is located in the center of the city. Everything is easy to approach and accessible. Staffs are very polite and friendly. Will stay again here next time for sure. Must recommended.
