Fantastic experience through Lan Ha Bay. We did 3 days 2 nights. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Our guides Jack and Hai were very fun and gave lots of great suggestions for places to eat and things to do in Hanoi.

Overall you get amazing value for your money on this trip with variety in activities: Kayaking, biking, hiking, squid fishing, cooking class, history and culture.

Probably one of the best guides I've had in a very long time! Mickey Mouse my guide was great!! He was very funny and full of knowledge of the region and country. The tour was great, fun and relaxing. Loved the food that was provided for dinner and snacks. This tour is a great way to see Hs Long Bay by boat. I would highly recommend this company. Ask for the guide Mickey Mouse super nice guy and a lot of fun.
This tour is also perfect for pictures.

Unlike others it seems, I had a really good experience with Sunlight Cruises.

Sunlight Cruise was definitely a great way to do Cat Ba and the Lan Ha Bay/Ha Long Bay area. We were introduced to our awesome guide Hai.

It started with an early pickup in the Old Quarter area of Hanoi and after filling our 25 seater coach we were away. Interestingly enough, an old acquaintance from Chiang Mai happened to sit with me in the last seat available on the bus. So we had a great time catching up for the 4 hour journey.

About halfway, we pulled into a big pitstop area and used the bathroom and grabbed a drink.

Back on the bus for an hour, ferry for 20 minutes and another 40 minutes or so across Cat Ba Island and we were at the docks. After a little confusion we got a ticket and followed our tour guide. We jumped on a little boat, across to our bigger boat anchored offshore.

We boarded our boat, about 16 in total for a few minutes to explore, then to the main deck for lunch and get to know the other guests.

After a delicious lunch, we were guided to our rooms to settle in as we cruised towards the kayaking activity. We gathered to the top deck to take photos and chat. A short while later we arrived at the kayaking activity.

Kayaking was a solid hour of going through the caves and around the area about a kilometre or two in length. We went through two to three cave areas. It was quite beautiful, but only memories because we wisely left our phones on board.

After kayaking it was off to a quieter area where we went for a swim to a small beach.

We then watched the sunset from the top deck as we cruised to our overnight anchor point. We had a mini cooking show where we all learned how to make the Vietnamese spring rolls.

After that we had a very elegant dinner served on the top deck of the boat. 5 star dining for sure under a thousand stars.

Then we enjoyed and evening of chatting and boat karaoke while some enjoyed a few drinks.

My room was a triple, but there were multiple variations of room onboard. The facilities were very well looked after considering the age of the boat. After a good night's sleep in the comfortable beds, we woke up to a wonderful buffet breakfast.

Then we docked up for a bike ride to a local village for stories and a taste test of some rocket water or a fish spa for the feet. We rode back to the boat for our final ride and finished with a fantastic lunch on board before heading back to the dock.

We took our bus back to Hanoi and it was over. I highly recommend this one night cruise with Sunlight Cruises.

Sensational tour, the crew and tour guide are absolutely lovely and super helpful. So much included for such a small price of $165USD each for 3 days and 2 nights. HIGHLY RECOMMEND using these guys to explore ha long Bay, Lan ha Bay and Cat ba island.

The cruise on the Boutique Ship was amazing. We booked the 2nights/3days tour and only travelled with a few other people. Very cozy atmosphere, but the rooms were luxurious, the shower was hot and the guide Nam was very nice.

Great activities and definitely worth it to book 2 nights!

We did the SUNLIGHT BOTIQUE CRUISE in early feb. Its a 5 cabin boat, which is perfect for a personal experience as well as meeting new people. The crew is usually 6 people plus up to 12 guests. Usually its more like 6 to 10 guests.

What was good:
- big and clean rooms
- western toilet
- Food was plenty and good
- Han, our tour guide, was really nice and helpful with everything.

Possible improvements:
- No wifi against all promises (Day 2 village try 12345678 for wifi ;-) and Tourguide Nam was kind enough to help us out). Other cruises might have wifi.
- With viettel sim card you have best chances for 4G, but on sea chances are slim
- Some cabins have a few little disadvantages
- Warm water for shower on request and only enough for up to 10 minutes. But hey, its a boat...

Day 1:
We started with the bus transfer good 4 hours including ferry and one short stop (you can buy drinks and snacks for fair prices). It cost us additional 80€ both ways for 4 people.
After boarding we had the following activities:
- Welcome drink
- Lunch and trip to first spot (kajak/canoe through cave and landscape)
- Second spot: swimming and cocktail happy hour (2 for 6€). In Feb the water waa around 17-18° C., but I really recommend going in.
- Final spot: Summer roll cooking, dinner, squid fishing. Night on the water (calm sea, anchored).
Afterwards free time on board.

Day 2:
Breakfast at 07:00
Shortly after drop-off at an island. Then bike 5km biking to a small village and a short booze-tasting. Then you can chose between long (4h) and short (1:30h) hike. We took the short one because of the weather, to evade most of the mud, although long trip has the better view. Short trip visits some old village and then a small cave. Afterwards it gets steep and you have to climb up and down a mountain. Its not easy, but doable. You should not be to frightened wirlth heights and climbing. Good shoes are recommended, but it can be done with sneakers. Afterwards lunch and then its back to day one canoeing.

Day 3:
- Breakfast at seven
- Then tender tour to a floating fishing village, which was more interesting than expected.
- Back for an early lunch and dropoff at Cat Ba Center Harbour
- Bus transfer to Hanoi

Overall: yes, there are a few small issues, but they are not problematic for most people - especially since its one of the cheapest cruises you can book. The very good price ia why I will not decrease my rating, as you get a lot for it.

PS: I have read about rats and drunk crew members in other rarings - not seen either :-D

Took a VIP day excursion to Halong Bay. An excursion depends a lot on the guide. We had a good English speaking guide who went by the name of Mike Mouse. The bus was comfortable, and the boat was spacious. The food was plentiful and excellent quality. All in a reallygood experience

Mickey was fantastic on the cruise ship. It’s decent and have few options for vegetarian food. They can improve the veg food options otherwise overall it was good trip to Halong Bay. We enjoyed good music and dance on the cruise

Our tour guide, Pink, is awesome and amazing. She made the trip to Halong Bay a fruitful one. She explained a lot of history related content when we went to the attractions at Halong Bay which I really liked. Also, the cruise staff are really nice and thoughtful. Food serve was fresh and delicious. Would recommend Sunlight Travel & Cruise if you all wanna head to Halong Bay for cruise. Thank you Pink for everything :)

A fun cruise to introduce you to Ha Long Bay! I was lucky to have tour guide ‘Mickey Mouse’ who was energetic and funny, making the experience fun and enjoyable.

Once we boarded the yacht, I was blown away by the luxurious amenities and modern technology. The yacht was spacious and had plenty of room for me and my guests. We were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery and views from the comfort of the yacht, thanks to the plentiful seating and lounging areas.

A day full of activities in a marvellous island with an excelent guide
