My last day on a three week trek around Vietnam with three friends, all of whom have departed so I am exploring Ho Chi Min solo on Christmas Day before I fly home tonight. This place is just what I needed after mad dash to buy Christmas presents before departing. Pasteur has a Christmas special if you are wearing red today, a free medium glass of its Festive Amber ale. I have red in my shirt!! Being a gal that leans towards pale ales, I started with the Pastuer Pale Ale. Loved it! Had to try the Polemo Ale too, which was terrific. The Amber Ale truly evokes Christmas. Best of all, Pasteur is not playing Christmas music, which I have heard way too much the last three weeks. Thank you, Pasteur. First time visiting this amazing country. I love the people here the most. The beer in Vietnam is fantastic, as is the food. Cám ơn.

Finding the Pasteur Street Craft Beer Bar was like stumbling upon a hidden gem during my stroll from the hotel to the city center. This brewery exudes a welcoming local vibe, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area.

The pub’s layout is thoughtfully designed, featuring an open seating area at the main bar, where patrons can enjoy the bustling street view. For those seeking a cooler retreat, the upstairs area offers a comfortable escape with efficient air conditioning - a thoughtful touch for warmer days.

What sets this place apart is its impressive selection of local beers. While some options didn’t align with my personal taste, the variety ensures there’s something for every beer enthusiast.

The food here is another high point. The kitchen serves up dishes that are not only delicious but also arrive promptly - a convenience that’s much appreciated. The tandoori pizza, which might sound unconventional, was an absolute hit with its unique fusion of flavors.

The staff at Pasteur Street Craft Beer Bar deserve a special mention for their friendly and helpful service. They create an atmosphere that’s both relaxed and professional, adding to the overall excellent experience.

Such a great place to sit and watch the city go by! We sampled 4 different brews, all were great but the passionfruit wins for us. We didn't have a meal but enjoyed a few bar snacks which were delicious. The barman, Gin, was professional but friendly, spoke excellent English and looked after us very well. I hope his employer knows what an asset he is.
We will be back!

Great street bar with nice craft beers. Perfect spot to sit at the end of the afternoon and observe all the street life close to Japan town. Probably our favourite beer bar in district 1 where we returned a few times during our stay in Saigon.

This is a good taproom. You can choose to sit near the street, or there are plenty of seats upstairs.
There is a good selection of beers - we chose a flight and got to try a few.
The staff were nice and the price is lower than other taprooms nearby.

I love craft beer so I tried to find nice craft beer restaurant around stay hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
And I found this restaurant.
Beer and foods are very nice and I come here every night.
The staff Ms.Bi is excellent.
She advised recommended local pho noodle restaurant. That is also very nice.

Ive been to 3 Pasteur Craft locations and its always a pleasure. The staff are always friendly, food is good quality and their beer is tasty (i love the passion fruit ale).

But this locations music selection made me have to put a review, because it is spectacular. We’re talking back to back Linkin Park, Soundgarden, Limp Bizkit, Rolling Stones and currently Nirvana’s MTV unplugged “Where Did You Sleep Last Night”.
What an absolute vibe.

And for those early risers or brunch enthusiasts, they've now introduced breakfast specials. A must-visit for authentic Vietnamese craft brews!

The food was delightful, but when it came to the fries, the portion left a bit to be desired. A more generous serving would make the meal perfect!

Awesome place with an amazing selection of craft beer. Food and service were also great. The perfect place for a drink after a day of exploring the city.

I was served by Bi who could not have been more friendly or helpful. I was recommended to this bar by a friend and was not disappointed! I enjoyed the fish tacos, the quality of the food is excellent and great value for money. If I had been less full already I would have ordered more food. The table next to me also ordered food that was exceptionally well presented. I will be coming back. Thank you Bi and team Pasteur 😘

Can’t recommend the garlic fried rice enough - delicious! It’s now my go-to place for food and drink here in Ho Chi Minh City.

Great variety, good beer options, especially when multiple can be mixed into a beer flight. Some of the beers weren't cold enough when I was there.

Jin was awesome. The food and beer blew me away! The goose breast, smoked string cheese, the seafood wontons… on and on. Highly recommend!

Nice place for night drinking with friends. The area is comfortable although seem small at first look with three floors. Food is good but a bit expensive. With respect to beer, Viet Wit and Irish Stout are recommended ones.

I thought I would never come here because I only saw open air seats. But one day I decided to come to see what it's really like. I had a LOT of fun talking to the employees, and learned they also have air conditioning upstairs. The beers are a good price, they play english popular music, and it's a really great atmosphere to have a good time. Can't wait to come back and get another stout!
