Since contacting Vivutravel, to the end of our tour, everything has been smooth with the help of Hoai. She always accommodated us and ensured our needs were met on the back end. Tour guides wait for you at the airport to ensure smooth transport from the airport to your initial hotel. In Hỏi An, Loan was very kind and ensured all our needs were met. Our tour guide for Hanoi, Sapa, Nính Bình and Hả Long Bay, Thanh, was incredibly knowledgeable, caring, and punctual. Thanh got us a gift after dropping us off at our hotel. Thanh was always 30 minutes early from his stated meet up time and showed incredible knowledge of the historic buildings that we toured. Our driver, Tuần, was really skilled while ensuring our safety as he drove us to Sapa, Ninh Bình, Hả Long Bay, and to the airport. They ensured we enjoyed our tour through continuous hospitality and they were both funny as well! I’m glad we booked through Vivutravel with them as our driver and tour guide! If you ever have Thanh or Tuần, you will be in great hands!

Custom tour of Northern Vietnam was amazing! Very reasonable price but extremely highest of quality of service, tours, and accommodations. Our coordinator, Hoai was so thorough and detailed. She gave our group the utmost honest recommendations for our little time in Hanoi. We visited Pu luong, tam coc, ninh binh, ha long bay, and Hanoi. Our drive Tuan was one of the most short spoken and patient driver ever. I can tell by how he handle the road that our safety wast the highest concerns and for that I truly appreciate. Our tour guide Duong (Sunny) was funny, have a depth of history, and most importantly the most pleasant guide I had ever encountered. We were never sold of anything, not even souvenirs on our whole entire trip which is amazing. Definitely recommending this company to anyone who would like to visit Southeast Asia, via custom for a couple, a group or with other tourists.

Such a great tour company! Our coordinator, Hoài, really helped ensure the process was seamless and easy. She really listened to what we were interested in and helped us understand what locations would fit the needs of our group. Our tour guide was Duong (Sunny) was awesome and so knowledgeable of the history surrounding the area. He was a great conversationalist and was really accommodating as well. We learned so much about the places we went and got some of the best views in town. Our driver Tuan was so nice and always so hospitable. He’s also such a great driver! The team really made our trip to visiting northern Vietnam a trip for the books and one to remember for a lifetime. We never felt like we needed to buy anything or feel pressured to do something we didn’t want to do. We learned so many interesting historical facts.

Awesome tour company our coordinator during the book process was Hoai. She is such a kind and great listener. She listen to our destinations request and provided several recommendations wi the it’s pros and cons so can be super informative when making our selection. Our tour guide was Duong (Sunny) who is so pleasant, funny, and polite with a bank full of knowledge. We learned so many interesting historical facts. Our driver was Tuan who so patient and careful. Together they made our visit of Pu Luong, Ninh Bình, Hả Long Bay, and Hanoi so pleasant. We were never brought to any places where they people were selling things. The three people made our trip so memorable. Definitely highly recommended this travel company and this team. Our whole family really enjoy our first trip to Northern Vietnam.

By far the best tour agency you can find in Vietnam. Helped us with planning a 3 week itinerary that was incredible to say the least! Excellent tour agency which customized our two week vacation in northern Vietnam to our liking. Hoai was the best for recommending which cities to visit and where to stay to truly experience the country side, the minorities and nature. The homestays she reserved for us were comfortable and small enough to feel at home. Our driver Hai made us feel safe on the busy streets and our guide Sunny was very helpful and his knowledge of Vietnam’s history was impressive and well presented at each of the locations we visited. He answered our multiple questions about daily life in Vietnam and adjusted the itinerary and food options based on our specific needs. Vietnam is a wonderful and safe country, we will carry these memories forever.

Thank you Vivu travels for organizing an amazing 10 days Vietnam itinerary for me! I wanted to spend most of my time in the mountains of north western Vietnam and immerse myself in the culture of the local people. As a solo female traveler, sales agent Kim took extra care in ensuring I had the best accommodations and overall experience. Quang was my tour guide and a lover of mountains. I started my trip in Hanoi, then to Sa Pa, then the most magical drive to the most mystical mountains of Hà Giang, and finally we ended our trip in the glorious Cao Bang. Quang’s knowledge about the region amazed me and I learned many things about the ethnic minority culture, history and rituals of north western Vietnam, type of foods and more. Hai was our driver and he got us to our destinations safely, and always kept the car in top condition. I did not have one bad meal during the entire trip, nor did I get sick. The food we had everywhere was delicious, always fresh farm to table and made with love. I also changed my itinerary while driving to Sa Pa. I decided not to do Halong Bay instead go to Hà Giang, and Kim was able to make things happen. I’m so glad I made this decision with Quang’s insight. If you’re a mountain lover like me, enjoy long drives with endless changing landscapes, looking into the local people’s lives, and love hiking, you have to do this route, you will not be disappointed! We enjoyed 10 days in Vietnam and Cambodia and it was perfect. From the beginning Ng in the office was super responsive to my emails and questions we quickly moved to whatsap which made things even quicker. Every request was filled even when we made changes during the trip.
The transportation and hotels where always spot on.
I cannot say enough about the guides who were super friendly and knowledgable and gave me a personal perspective of the life they lived and how they grew up.

We are two senior couples from Vancouver, BC, Canada who booked a tour of Vietnam with Vivu Travel through their website. Hoai, the agent who organized our tour, kept in touch with us via email during the months leading up to our trip. She looked after getting our visas and kept us informed of all that we had to do to prepare for our trip. Upon arrival in Hanoi, late at night, Leo Thien, our guide for the first 8 days of our journey, greeted us at the airport. It was then that we learned we were on a private tour, just the four of us. Thien took care of absolutely everything for us and saw that we were treated like "VIPs" everywhere we went. He is kind, was respectful of our needs and limitations, and is extremely knowledgeable about his country. We learned so much every day about the culture, the people and the areas we visited. He offered recommendations for restaurants when we had free evenings. He even took our laundry to be cleaned and brought it back to us. Thien has a great sense of humour and kept us laughing every day. We wish he could have been our guide for the rest of our time in Vietnam, but this was not possible when we flew to another area. It was difficult to say goodbye to such a sweet man who gave 100%. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I would.
I must also mention that we visited the offices of Vivu Travel and were astounded at the welcome we received. All the staff came out to warmly greet us. They had a table with soft chairs set up, served us tea and candies, and chit chatted with us. They even presented us with gifts...an art piece from the lacquer studio we had visited! We felt like royalty. The meeting ended with hugs, and well wishes from all. We have never experienced anything like it. We are now about to embark on the second leg of our journey, and I have no doubt that it will be great.
Lastly, we have found the trip to be very well priced, especially when we factor in a full time driver and guide for just the four of us.

Knowledgeable tour guides that were very helpful for our less able bodied companion. The trip was full of a variety of interesting experiences tailored to our specific interests. Our trip through Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Hue and Hoi An has been wonderful- hotels are excellent, the travel is easy in very comfortable private buses, the days are busy with all the important locations and the guides, Thang and Linh have both bees great.
Their expert knowledge and friendly style makes every day interesting with insights into history, culture and day to day life.
The food has been exceptional, and we’ve enjoyed 2 cooking classes, which we’ll now try to recreate back home for the family.
