M Bar

It was too late to go out and get noodles -- in the sense it was becoming impossible to get a taxi -- so I repaired to the roof to the m bar, the same famed rooftop bar that was written about by Greene in The Quiet American. I am so glad I did. What a river view, and of central city! The food wasn't that memorable --imperial rolls? but it was same as room service menu which I enjoyed, though I felt like a bit of a putz ordering vietnamese specialties at such a premium -- could probably street eat for a week for what I spent but it was my last night so what the heck. I had a fresh (I think) pomelo juice and watched my fellow tourists get the majestic special (you can too, it's at the end of the "knowing me knowing you" video -- and it worked out that at the beginning of that vid you can see the server with the cocktail that you see at the end, and at the end of the photos there is a still of it) I loved the band so much -- they killed it with sixties and seventies, and I was blown away when they started to play "Guantanamera" for that old Habana/Saigon connection, either pre or post liberation. I was sad to go back to the room, but when the band was done it seemed like a good cue. If I were rich and full of leisure time, I'd live at the Majestic for a while

You have to go to the Majestic Hotel for a drink. The drinks list is extensive but not cheap. You go for the view. This has the best view over the river and all the boats floating by. More atmosphere than the Rex.

Great view, in the center of the city and have river view. It is in the roof top of Majestic hotel. So beautiful. The cocktail is awesome, reasonable price. Friendly staff. They have live music band every night starts from 8pm-11pm.

Great place for a date night. Live band were playing and the staff are very welcoming. The entrance to the bar can be difficult to find, but it's an elevator ride to the roof top. Drinks are standard here, food also served. Come for the view, music, and just overall vibe of the place.

The atmosphere is so good. And the live music and rooftop view make it a wonderful night out.

The only downside is that the waiters are a bit busy serving.

I haven't eaten here so I can't comment on the food but it is a great place for cocktails. Good cocktails with an amazing view over the river. Often have live music which is a bonus.

Always has a breeze and a view. Price is a little higher than usual aprox 200k a drink or so but the location and the view is worth it

Nice view and atmosphere. Most of songs the band played are Latin style in Spanish, u can dance or just swing in the middle. The cocktail is around 250.00 each. A good place to hang out with friends.

Great night out thanks to Rex and the band!! Stunning views overlooking the Saigon River and a massive selection of cocktails and other alcoholic beverages. Foods good too.100% recommend this place for a night out in Ho Chi Minh City.

I'm a bit biased, because I sing with the band here on the weekends... but it's always a great international crowd with friendly service and great menu.

Great views over Saigon. Go at night before 10:00. Saigon light show is fantastic

A terrific view with attentive staff, what more could you ask for?

On vacation walking outside we heard some nice salsa music that sound legit so we followed the sound into M bar. To our surprise it was a live band from Argentina or Spain maybe idk. But it was great to dance to. I feel revitalized. Go check it out!
