The Nerd Dungeon

We just hosted my kid's birthday party there and the staff could not have been more welcome and accommodating. Please don't sleep on this accepting space for any hangout or event needs. The front cafe space is perfect for small meetings, and their back event space is larger than we needed but perfect for a group of 6 kids to be teenagers without disturbing the general patronage.

We will definitely be going back to support this lovely local business who does their own movie nights, board game meet-ups, TCG matches, and more. I recommend following their social media for all the details.

They have the perfect balance of video games, comics and toys. The place is spacious, the customer service is very friendly, and the prices are a bargain. Also they have the absolute best coffee you’ll ever taste in your life.

Great owner, great games, and amazing Squishmallows! Really awesome place that has free arcade games to play and a sitting area to drink your coffee or tea while playing free board games! I got the pink rose lemonade with oat milk, and it was really amazing. My boyfriend got the macchiato, and he also said it was 10 out of 10. They also have a huge assortment of collectibles and games for different consoles. I highly recommend for people who loves games to play or buy! (They also have a mic for live events, so I’m sure there’s more to do here)

Approachable vibe and a huge assortment of things for any type of nerd. Games, stickers, apparel, plushies, you name it. I live off of caffeine and they've got that too! My favorites have been the rotating specials- flavored lattes like cinnamon cereal or white chocolate rosemary 🤤☕🤓 the helpful staff (Will, Savannah, everyone there) have been wonderful everytime I've stopped by

This is between home and work for me, so I stopped in to check it out. If you are a nerd, these are your people! Lots of other reviewers have listed merch, so I won't, but there is a wide variety to shop from. We had coffee and played a couple of games of Mille Bornes, great fun! Check out their calendar, they do a lot of different events, pick something fun for you!

Will made me a delicious chocolate mocha after a discussion about how I thought I didn't like any kind of coffee or tea...he is so thoughtful! Their stock is really great. I bought a very uncommon Resident Evil 2 strategy guide I'd been looking for for a while. They have plenty of manga, games, strategy guides, miniatures, and even Pokemon cards! They have a very unique community setting that is hard to find nowadays. If I lived closer I'd definitely be visiting every week.

This shop is super cute! And Will is super friendly. My friends and I are in town so we like to look at the local shops and we were not disappointed. Great conversation and great prices on retro games! My latte I supper yummy as well! Highly recommend if you’re in the Asheville area.

Visited for the first time today and had such a great experience! Everyone is super kind and welcoming, the coffee was fantastic, they offer a ton of games and collectibles, and they even have a great selection of classic vinyls! So excited to have such a great store and cafe so close to home. I’ll definitely be back and I’m looking forward to taking part in some of their community events. It's a wonderful and relaxing place to be, I love their pastries and tea plus I can usually find a good game to play or if I get there early enough then I usually have the place to myself while i enjoy a novel. Also they have some of the best prices when it comes to used game consoles

Bigger than you'd expect with excellent events and great second hand products. Good coffee with a selection of pastry treats. I'm a particular fan of their $1 comics bins

I am really excited to have a shop like this in Leicester. I'm excited for them to start having live music as it seems this will be an intimate and fun venue. Don't miss out on their café, they do coffee and tea right!!

The Nerd Dungeon is my favorite local Asheville game shop. They’ve got such a wide variety of stuff for both amateur and hardcore gamers. Plus the environment is so friendly and welcoming. I find some game shops to be intimidating for AFAB and/or amateur, but this shop definitely makes a concerted effort to be an LGBTQIA+ safe space and a community space. I’ve been to several game nights and other events that they host and they’re all so much fun!

We love this place. It is without a doubt the best coffee in Asheville and the surrounding area. Plus, my painfully shy little boy feels comfortable here, which is worth everything in the world to me. And the couches in the sitting area are so comfortable, you never want to get up.

Wow!!!! So friendly. Peaceful environment. Did not make me feel overwhelmed by the characters I didn't know. Savannah is a great need and terrific barrista!!! I'll be back for more coffee and to watch some movies.

This place was amazing ,owner was nice and informational plus easy to talk to. Felt like a community and very accepting. Will be back even with a 2hr+ drive ,completely worth it

A wonderful little shop with so many fun things. And wonderful baked goods! If I lived in the area I'd come hang out and play games. Sad that I don't. But if you're around take some time to check out their vinyl and manga offerings.
