A pleasant grocery store with good staff (the cashier’s name is simply super, Gayane, speaks excellent Russian and Ukrainian). Fresh products ranging from canned food to fish and meat. Basically, all the products are almost Russian and Ukrainian, and there are also some Armenian products from the CIS countries. By the way, there is quite a large selection of medicines from Russia and Ukraine.

One of the best Russian grocery store in LA area. Outstanding customer service, very polite and attentive owners. Great selection of food! Love to shop there!

The prepared food in the deli is delicious. I have only tried it 2 times, but I got different stuff both times and really liked it. It's very homemade tasting, like the kind of food someone would prepare for their own family. Very flavorful and makes you want to get a second helping.

Writing this after inhaling some Rasputin Plov for lunch - which I stored in the freezer for lazy lunches like today...yum!

This deli is a favorite stop for my family when we gather in SoCal for family gatherings. We most recently stocked up on "snacks" for Thanksgiving week...

On Thanksgiving day there were NO LINES at 9:30AM and all items were well stocked.

Some of our favorite things....

Plov (Baked veal + rice) - Hands down our #1 love. A large container is about $20 and it's worth every penny. The rice is perfectly flavored. We just learned to freeze it for lazy microwave lunches like today.

Babaganoush (Eggplant spread) - Takes as good as the one I routinely purchased in my local Deli in NYC...addicting little snack with crackers.

Beef Stroganoff - SO good with rice. Super flavorful...and love the bits of mushrooms soaked in the sauce.

Smoked Salmon Trout - Yes, that's really what it's called. Get it sliced. Good on toast!

Now I want to go back to get more babaganoush...

Best shop around for foods from Russia, Lithuania, Moldova, Armenia, Ukraine etc. To get your Eastern European comfort food on, this is the best place around. If your babushka used to make it, they have it. Pre made at the deli in back, or the raw materials to do it yourself. From galupsy to pelmini to pirozhki. It's all here. And reasonably priced with helpful staff. In English or Russian. Nyam nyam!

Very good experience with this store and owner .
I needed 80 Russian new year boxes of candies for kids. I called to another stores and they were out of my budget . And only Rasputin market helped me, they ordered from wholesale or wherever 80 boxes , and gave me a discount ( I don’t asked them, I just looking for something in my budget).
Also, my husband eating a prepared food from this store about 1 year and he like it

I love this market, but I'm really sad about what is going on in Ukraine now. I have Russian cousins who are horrified about the war. I don't think the Russian businesses that are in America should be punished for evil Putin. I'm sure this Russian market has Ukrainian customers, too. I myself had my grandparents and great grandparents born in Ukraine 🇺🇦 and I never thought about not getting along with Russian people. I enjoyed shopping here. We should not have an evil dictator divide the people.

Top Russian grocery store in Southern California. Lots of parking spots and huge store.

A well stocked store with a large selection of Russian food. Many items are made on the premises. A good selection of baked goods and pastries as well as savory salads, spreads, preserved, pickled, and salted items. Also there are fresh vegetables, fruits and diary products. One of the better stocked Russian grocery stores in the S.F. Valley.

One of the best Russian grocery stores in LA (I've visited a lot of them, so I can tell). It's 2-3 times bigger typical Russian store here in LA, so everything is not as cramped as everywhere else. Also, parking is not an issue, every time I've been there - there are always parking spaces available right in front of the store. Definitely my to-go store when I'm in the Valley.

Friendly service and amazing selection of Russian and European hard-to-find delicacies. From famous German frankfurters in brine (a must if you've never tried them) to Bulgarian eggplant caviar, from Armenian berry and fruit preserves to Latvian smoked fish, Ukrainian chocolate covered marmalade and Georgian BBQ sauces. Rasputin doesn't disappoint and I dare you to leave with just one item.

Several good things about this particular Russian Deli. Excellent selection of cold cuts, home made style salads and warm dishes. Easy parking and fresh bread daily.

Nice store with good assortment. All dishes prepared are delicious and fresh. But a very long service in a prepared meal, the wait takes up to 15 minutes.

Selection of Russian foods is good. Deli is amazing. Cooked foods for special events. Excellent tomatoes. Good prices.

Ready made salmon and tilapia and chicken liver and beef liver and beets salad and eggplant salad and cranberry cake and Canadian bacon and and and ....I love this place.
