Toad Road was a real treat to shop at. Friendly, knowledgeable staff dismantled a mannequin so I could try on a coat, and I never felt pressured to buy—talking with her was like talking to a friend about the pros and cons of the garment. I decided to buy (for less than what it was going for on Amazon, btw) and haven’t regretted it for a second. This is a great local store and I will check there before buying anything online from now on. A really pleasant shopping experience.

Love the shop, beautiful selection of clothing and accessories. Reasonable prices for the quality of clothing they stock. They also have a tailor on site (Anne Haynes) who I can not recommend enough.

It's the only place we go for our outfits. Great staff and great two doggie greeters.

I stopped by Toad Road this afternoon to do some men's clothes shopping, ready to let the eagle fly as they say. I was greeted by a very friendly proprietor and a shop full of beautiful merchandise. But after speaking with her for a minute or two, it became clear that this was yet another clothing shop in Nob Hill that didn't serve the "larger" population: That is, they just don't have any men's XL or 2X shirts or sweaters or pants sized above 40. I was kind of shocked to discover this and the kind lady who helped me seemed mortified. I know it's a demographics thing in the suburbs, but hey demographics are changing.
