Flying Cloud Tea & Gifts

Quant little Gem tucked away amid several small businesses. Proprietor very knowledgeable about teas and eager to share his knowledge. A small magnitude of tea varieties adorn the back wall in stay-fresh containers. We purchased a hot Peach variety and it was excellent! We also found some unique tea-related accessories that we haven't found in other stores. Come here for the tea, sit and relax to the music and then browse for a few. You may just have found your new favorite tea shop.

Really lovely place, I loved the set up of the shop and the little decorations.
It would have been really nice to have more seating (like outside or something) but it was still lovely.
I purchased 3 flavours of tea in packets & a cup made by the gentleman in the shop.
The tea he made was excellent.
The gentleman working in the store was very kind & knowledgable, which was good because I had quite a few questions.

I had been looking for a place that sells loose-leaf tea and supplies for, what felt like, FOREVER before I found Flying Cloud about 3 weeks ago. It's a small shop, that would be difficult to find without knowing it's there or without access to Google Maps.
Walking in, my senses came alive with the various smells of dried tea leaves! There is a bar that runs almost the entire length of the store - which is only about 15 feet - with 3 or 4 stools for guests to perch while having a cuppa or a sample. Behind the bar are probably a hundred or so large tins of SO MANY varieties of tea, it would take 6 months to try each one! Off to the sides and along the front of the store are a variety of shelves and stands with supplies for the tea-lover in your life (or yourself if your family has no clue, like mine!).
The day I was there, the husband/owner was the only person there (sorry, I can't remember his name). He helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I'm a black tea drinker, and when I found the shop online, I noticed they had Scottish breakfast tea, my favorite, which is VERY hard to find, so I was excited! I also drink tea in the afternoon and evening, so wanted something like a dessert tea; He told me about their 3/$15 deal so that I could try a variety. Caramel cream and Bourbon cream are DELICIOUS!
I'm returning to the store this afternoon or tomorrow, and plan to try some other flavors, but the Scottish and the Caramel will have a permanent place in my kitchen.
If you love tea, you definitely need to check out this store. Green tea, black, white, chai, and anything else you can imagine! Plus they can tell you facts you never knew you wanted to know! What a great store!!

I was really blown away by their extensive selection of tea. It is amazing! Unlike other places that only have the strange herbal and fruity blends, flying cloud boasts a remarkable array of traditional teas as well. They have black teas from China, Sri Lanka, England, India and Kenya. They have some amazing oolongs (my favorite), they has whites, greens, shou and even sheng puerh! In addition to this, they had a large array of herbal teas, fruity blends, and iced tea as well.

They offer their loose tea for whole sale at very good prices as well.

It’s not everywhere you find this kind of quality.

Small cozy place with a great selection of teas. On Thursdays you get to try two random kinds of tea paired with a pisce of chocolate for $5.

Had a delightfully pleasant experience with Flying Cloud. Ordered some loose leaf tea online because I live about an hour away. My order arrived within 2 days and they even included a sample I might enjoy based on my purchases. Very high quality tea and a huge selection to choose from. I'll be a return customer!

I came upon Flying Cloud on an online search and found it to be a delightful little shop! They have an extensive selection of quality loose teas- traditional, blends, herbals and decaf options. So many! It was hard to decide with so many choices! I took home three new options to try. I will definitely be back!

This is a very interesting and unique tea shop in several ways. This shop provides an educational experience as well as the opportunity to sip some of the world's finest teas. You can actually sit at a tea bar, relax, and learn about the rich history and lore of more than 100 teas from around the world. The owners are passionate about tea and extremely knowledgeable. One sitting is not enough and I find myself coming back time and again to learn more and experience the many rich and varied tastes these teas offer. My current favorite is the Extra Fancy Pouchong, I actually ate the softened leaves after brewing, it was that good.

By far my favorite place to purchase tea! They have a huge variety, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and you can even try the tea before purchasing them. I love that they offer sample packs so I can try new teas too. I've discovered several that I love that I probably wouldn't have tried otherwise.

Perfect for tea obsessed people. They have a large variety of every kind of tea and their blends are magical. It comes looseleaf and the owners are happy to explain how to brew it. They even make you cups of their tea to go. One of my favorite places.

When I tell people I am going to "My Tea Shop" they all know I am talking about Flying Cloud.

I am in love with Flying Cloud and believe I have 30+ of their teas at home as all of them are so good its hard to pick a favorite though Nicolette knows when I walk in the door that I am in to restock on their Chocolate Puerh Tea as I'm out again, as I drink it so fast as its soooo good!
She and her husband Nick are wonderful helping you select teas and offering you different selections. My friends and I will go in and try 2-3 tea tasting's to find which tea's we will be brining home that day.

Can not stop coming back here ❤ Nicolette and Nick are insanely knowledgeable about the world of tea - I've learned so much and am amazed by the new appreciation I have for tea brewing and tasting. The blueberry matcha is my new favorite drink, and their recommendations are the best! They do some amazing tea parings with chocolate and cheese too!!

Absolutely love this little hidden gem! Great spot for a hot or iced tea with soooo many choices! I really love the ambiance of the space and their awesome selection of gifts. The owners are wonderful people, we are lucky to have this tea shop to enjoy in Dunedin!👍👏

I am so glad we have a tea shop like this here in Dunedin!! Flying Cloud stocks SO many incredible teas, and some fun gifty things too! I love Chocolate Thursdays and the tastings they have occasionally though out the year! Also, their chai latte is super yummy too!

We love the quaint atmosphere and decorations in Flying Cloud. My favorite thing to do is sit at the wooden bar and try the sample cups- I am trying to taste the whole menu! Nick and Nicolette are always very friendly & welcoming and are open to answering any tea questions or letting me smell the tins on their tea wall. They have a nice gift area as well. Teas below are coconut iced matcha and blue chai sample cup!

Amazing selection of teas & unique gifts too!! My daughters enjoy asking questions about all of the teas from all over the world, and they always receive an enthusiastic reply! I'm looking forward to attending their new classes in March! #ShopLocalForGood

We attended the tea class which I found to be most informative and fascinating and included a nice selection of teas to taste and learn about. The owners are very helpful and their shop has a very nice variety of teas, as well as gifts.

Best tea store in the area. Huge selection, tea bar, food pairings, good prices, better service. A different location may benefit them. If you like tea, you have to go there.

Amazing tea selection, cute small shop with tea related gifts you can buy for you or for your loved ones! On Thursdays there's a tea and chocolate tasting that is amazing and delicious.
