Always a pleasant experience when I visit my parents in Hale.... Very happy to see the gluten free section since my sister has celiac and it's easy to pick stuff out for our meals

My daughter and her family live in Hale so when I visit them I shop there. The store is always clean, and everyone is friendly!

I really like this grocery store. Items are pricey, but if you look you can also find some great deals. They have quite the little gnome collection available for purchase also. And, they have amazing doughnuts. I recommend this store if you are near one.

Brian the meat man is a very helpful gentleman we travel from tawas to shop here and get meat and he is very sweet and always willing to answer questions nice to see someone take pride in their job 😀 and the store is very well maintained, great donuts as well!

My parents transmission, died on they on the way up to a funeral. We didn't know what to do. So I Googled u haul. They had one their. I was so happy. They guy that waited on us, was great. (Southern accent) I wish I remembered his name.

This has been our go-to grocery store while up north for over 15 years. Good selection of items for a smaller store. Their deli chicken salad is incredible. The handmade donuts are absolutely to die for. Grabbed donuts every weekend as they can’t be beat. Will be missed while away for the winter.

I'm impressed, they have gluten free items. We visit this area yearly and stop at Rogers for provisions. Have a great selection of groceries, beverages, and liquor.

Prices aren’t terrible and the selection is actually pretty good for an up north grocery store: especially, when you’re vacationing. Truly a small town oriented approach to service with the offer to deliver your groceries to your car. The sandwiches/pastries at the back counter aren’t bad either (price & quality).

Shopping here is very convenient and close to home. For a small town grocery store they offer a lot including a deli with cold and hot food to go. Their bakery is the best with freshly made donuts every day. They also sell liquor beer and wine. Another plus is they are open seven days a week. Great store for a small community.

Nice place to shop. Some of the staff look a little angry but are pleasant. Prices are a little higher then I'm used to but the prices everywhere are going up.

Awesome doughnuts and cookies, the girls in the bakery are great!!! The prices on everything else in the store are good too. Always shop the sales. Very clean and well organized store, don't miss the opportunity to stop in.

This store offers everything that the big chain stores do, but with a family feel! The staff are very helpful and welcoming. Kochers will exceed your expectations and you'll remember it each time you visit northern Michigan!

Kocher's is a wonderful shopping experience. They employee local people who are as friendly as they come! If you want a particuliar item that they don't carry, ASK! They will usually try to order it and see if it sells in our community. Hale rocks! Good people that look out for one another, as is found in our businesses as well.

This is my favorite grocery store when i come to hale. Actually it might be the only store but they have lots of different items the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nostalgic because it's been there since before I was a little kid. They have lots of fresh produce really good meat and really good block cheese. There are tons of snacks and drinks all the workers are really nice.
