Akshar Cash 'N' Carry

Great Indian market. Lots of great deals on hard to find items. The variety of fresh vegetables, spices, condiments, and even ready made meals in a foil pouch is amazing. It is my go to store to restock up on my spices. I always see something new to try. The employees are very friendly and happy to help answering questions and making suggestions. Parking is a bit difficult, since customers from the restaurants in the shopping center take up most of the species, even in front of the market.

Very good store with all the stock available, good products- fresh veggetables and fruits. This is the best indian store to get Puja Samagri, all home temple stuff available and small rituals items with good goddess idol, they have a whole seperate section for holy items. A seperate aisle for utensils as well. Highyl recommend.

A wide variety of indian geocery. Price is reasonable and you can find almost anything you want. It's located very close to three different indian restaurants, so you can enjoy Indian cuisine while you go for shopping at this place. I found different options for Chakla and Belan here which I could not find at other indian grocery in san diego. Additionally, they have a several options for traditional Indian cooking utensils. You can also find pooja samagri here. I wish they try to bring some exotic Indian vegetables that is hard to find here in San Diego.

Awesome Indian grocery store, where you can buy utensils, pooja samagri, food items, spices, vegetables, jack fruit, tulsi plant, navratri, karwa chuth specials.
Staff is very nice.

They have most varieties of vegetables that won’t be found in other shop. They are well stocked and very reasonably priced. Also I like their pooja items and mud pots.

Fantastic Indian store with everything you need. Place is very clean and organized. There are also a few restaurants nearby and a temple.

Really very good. I managed to find all I was looking for and a heap more.

I did find the prices a touch on the high side, however for the convenience it’s great.

I now prefer Akshay store then other Indian stores

Amazing small Indian grocery store. Much better than Miramar as Miramar cash and carry is too big and don’t give much attention to their customers. Always fresh food available in this store and they make fresh Indian paan which is delicious.

No doubt store is good , quality is also good, most of items are cheap. Some of them are still more costly.

Akshar is my first go to indian shop in San Diego. They have all the Indian spices you can think of. Miramar Cash n Carry is another shop close by and bigger than Akshar. Price wise they are similar. I felt the vegetables are a bit fresher in Akshar compared to Miramar.

Very nice and clean store. The grocery is reasonable than other places. The best thing about this store is that they offer large packages of spices and dals unlike other stores. The small packages are pretty pricey and large packages are pretty reasonable priced. Now good quality fresh produce is also available. Sometimes they have organic ginger at very reasonable price. I love going there for my Indian grocery shopping.

I go there for my Indian grocery. Prices have gone up in 2022, and also because of competition with Miramar Cash & Carry. But I still shop here, for I'm quite used to their filing structure and it is super close to the freeway. It typically has everything I need, so one stop shopping!

Great selection of authentic Indian grocery items. Store DOES take credit cards so don't be fooled by the name. Best price on loose leaf tea in town...4.99-5.99 for a large container of Tetley or PG Tips and others. UPDATE March 2023: prices have gone up similar to other stores due to inflation... generally a buck or two for the above. They have also been out of regular loose leaf Tetley for a few months, but it is still a great store for other options. They have at least a half-dozen brands available, and about twice that in tea bag options.

Great place to pick up Indian spices and various Indian food. Love the snack section! So many different beans, lentils, rice, besan!
