Shop n Save

Certainly a major improvement over previous years, it's clean and friendly now! The new store will be ready this spring! As we don't get much new around here it will be fantastic!

Very pleased that some prices are going down. Eggs were two dozen for five dollars, but when I went to another close store, saw they were only two dollars and twelve cents for a dozen, can't win them all.

Looking for ground chicken. None in case. Rang bell for assistance. Nicest meat department female employee told me to pick out a pack of boneless breasts and they will grind it fresh for me. They did in a matter of minutes and no extra charge! Buffalo Chicken Meatballs are amazing! Now my pick for ALL my meat purchases! My butcher! Thanks!

Cost more than Walmart, but better customer service! Better quality meat! I do the majority of my shopping here. It'll always be brownings!

**recently I feel I have to examine my receipt because I've been being charged regularl prices instead of the sale price. When the main reason I bought it was because it was on-sale to begin with. So frustrating!!

Nice small hometown grocery store. They are a little bit pricey, as you would expect any locally owned grocery store. One great feature is that they have unique items that you can't find at Walmart which is the only other grocery store in town. I'm ok with spending a little more, when I can afford to, to support a local business rather than a corporate giant.

As a former career grocer associate in Virginia & NE Maryland locations, I am delighted to find such a gem of a convenient local grocery store serving the Oakland area.

Been shopping here since I was a kid. Great selection. Workers could smile more. They have the best deep fried chicken livers in the whole world!!!! They make alot of stuff, in store. Which makes for some good eating.

I've been a local shopper at Brownings since before I can remember. I love buying my meats and produce from here, it's always fresh, & I'm never disappointed by the quality. The employee's are friendly and eager to help if you need it. I had a large cart full earlier this morning & as I was checking out the cashier asked me if I needed help out to my car. Although I declined it was a very curtious gesture & you don't get that to often at a grocery store now a days. Way to go Browning's 👏

This grocery store has been a community staple for years. They offer a better selection than Walmart. They have the best homemade chicken salad in the deli.

This is a very nice but small grocery store fantastic and ever helpful on-site butcher has always been able to provide whatever I have asked for. Good deli with fast, friendly service.

Store was clean, shelves were stocked and people were friendly. Only complaint is the prices keep going up and up.

Traveling stopped in to pick up dinner fixing staff was very helpful, food was reasonably priced and cashier told me I qualified for the senior discount. What a pleasure to shop here in Oakland MD

We have shopped here everytime we are in the area. 40 plus years. They carry local produce, have a great deli area, and the fried chicken is delicious. Stop in if you are in the area.
