First visit here. Was not disappointed. Glad to see up front in prime location local authors and local history. Also liked seeing the shop employees picks and a small synapse of the book. Very navigational friendly. Great selection. Will be going back!

A really magical space where I always find something new to read about Oklahoma History that was NEVER taught in the classroom. Great space and always kind staff

They have been great. They have carried my art history book, Tulsa's Black Wall Street: A Modernized Revelation bit.ly/blackwallstreetbook, for the past 3 years and have been very welcoming through the process.

Do you love independent bookstores? Magic City Books will make you swoon. It is surprising how many volumes occupy this space, so do not let its small-ness discourage you. The staff is helpful, but they are more than happy to let customers wander around.

The space is attractive and bright with a few small tables in the front window if your partner needs to sit while you nose through the cooking section.

Yes, I know how easy (and cheap) it is to order a title from Amazon, but Jeff Bezos is rich enough, and it is truly a privilege to have an independent bookseller in Tulsa, and Magic City Books is a real jewel.

We were on a tight schedule, so I only got to spend 15 minutes here instead of a full hour. Wonderful curated selection of local authors and a great nod to the area's history with regard to Black Wall Street. Of course plenty of the latest selection of literature. Will definitely spend more time here on my next Tulsa visit.

Our favorite local book shop. I love that they’ve got a great kids selection & I can almost always find what I need (and more) in store for myself as well.

This little bookstore brings a fun communal feel to the already growing Tulsa Arts District. The store has children’s books, big coffee table books, and everything in between. If you stop by make sure to grab a coffee or beer from their bar, they’ve got quite the selection.

This is the place. Poetry night, yes. Reading by authors, yes. Kids books, fiction. Can you cram into a tiny store, yes. No events, sit in the reading room. Need informed local political dialogue with sane people..yes.

Could you buy the books at a big box store.... probably. But would you get personal service with ease and find signed copies of your fav author....probably not. If they don't have it, they can order it for you to have. It's a great place to get lost in the titles they have available.

This was a great independent book seller that sold more than just Indi books. We came home with a good selection to read from. They do require masks so be sure to bring one or grab one from the table upon entrance. A little reading nook or coffee options would have made it over the top perfect.
