Master Buckner is excellent with our 4 year old son. He's shown tremendous patience and tutelage. We were a little apprehensive about sending him at first, because of his age and size, but after just 3 weeks we're very happy with the decision. And more importantly, our son loves going to the classes.

Mr. Buckner has been an amazing instructor since he has been coming to our summer camp, extremely patient and kind with the children. He’s great at getting the kids involved and interactive and ensures they are all having an awesome time. Highly recommended!

The instructor was very excellent with the kids. He came to Camp Margate and the kids were all very attentive. This is a great activity for kids that teaches them lots of valuable skills and lessons. Highly recommend for all ages!!!

One on one training with Darren is a blast. I’m learning so many self defense techniques as a female and i feel very equipped if I have to defend myself. I recommend his training to all female and it’s also great workout too.

True Self Defense is the best karate program l’ve seen! Darren came to Margate Summer Camp to work with the children and it was just wonderful. He is kind and understands how to interact with children so that they can better themselves AND learn at the same time. The children responded so well to him and had so much fun every minute they spent with him. Send your kids to him, you won’t be disappointed!!

Darren was the perfect trainer!! He was thorough and challenged me. I loved this experience and plan to continue my training.

Instructor came to my camp where i work at (I’m a counselor at camp margate) and instructed the kids he’s very clear, helps the kids that struggle and teaches actual useful and practical self defense moves.
