Derbyshire Stables

Been riding here for over 2 years now. I’ve loved every lesson and every horse. Both Nancy and Bill are so nice and work with my schedule, making sure the rider has a good time. The horses are well behaved and so lovely to be around. I have never left this barn feeling anything but happy, knowing that the trainers actually care about my personal growth as a rider. If you’re looking to start riding, or continue your equestrian journey, I highly recommend this beautiful stable.

My 5 year old daughter takes lessons here and she loves it. Bill & Nancy are warm and professional. The property is beautiful and well cared for, as well as the horses. I highly recommend this stable for lessons or boarding your own horse.

Myself and 7 other boarders left an awful situation at Rose Arena literally overnight. Bill and Nancy at Derbyshire have been so accommodating and kind to us and our horses since day one. The facility is always nice, clean and safe for the horses. There is a peace of mind with the owners living on site.
Joe the barn manager is always willing to help and is very gentle and kind to every horse he comes in contact with. And Tomas is always hard at work to keep the place looking great.
There is access to so many trails/parks in close proximity. And the arenas on site are always well maintained.
Derbyshire has been one of the best decisions we all made!

The owners of Derbyshire, Bill & Nancy, know exactly how to offer the best experience of horse-loving life to their party guests. Our family met up late Sunday morning for rides- led around for the little ones, or independently for those with experience- in their beautiful, open indoor arena space. No worries about the inclement weather the evening before! (An outdoor tent would be nice if the weather had been drier, but our gathering set up at the end of one of the wide stable hallways- and it was PERFECT.) The orange cat climbing around in the hayloft, the friendly little doggie, Rocky, barnstorming little birds, and last but not least, the exquisitely beautiful horses and ponies made this one of the most special family experiences I've ever been able to provide for my teens, grown kids and grandchildren.
They had tables and hay bales with cute horsey toys and stuffed animals set upon them, and we provided the lunch, drinks, table covers and server ware. (There's a wonderful BBQ restaurant a few blocks away where we got our food- Midwest Best.) I learned about how they keep the place so clean and was struck by the earthy but sweet smell of the hay and overall cleanliness of their barn. My first visit there was during the summer when everything was green. The area was lit up by spectacular fall foliage for our October gathering...I can't wait to see what it looks like in the winter and spring!
I highly recommend Derbyshire Stables and look forward to going back again.

We had our daughters 5th birthday Party at Derbyshire Stables and she had the best experience!! Nancy and Bill were fantastic to work with. We had nine 4&5 year olds and all got plenty of time with the ponies (riding and brushing). The price was very reasonable for all that you get! If you have a child that loves horses or ponies this is such a great experience. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!

They have a great stables and thanks to Mr bill for letting me ride there and they do camp it sounds like fun I would recommend you try this place
