Stoner Theater

We went to see A Christmas Carol at the Stoner Theater and loved it. The intimate setting and great acting along with intense production made for an exceptional evening. As a bonus, accessibility and parking was easy. Highly recommend any show at this venue.

Across from the Federal building on one side and the Cowles Commons place on the other , on 3rd St and Walnut St. For Symphony orchestra concerts, shows like Aladdin and much more this is your place to go.

I've been a patron of the Des Moines Symphony and the Broadway series at the Civic Center for over 20 years, but until I attended It's a Wonderful Life, the Radio Play, at the Stoner (black box) Theatre, I had never seen a production in the Stoner. The staging was exceptional, as evidenced by the photo and the production was absolutely delightful!

I came here to see my friend in Legally Blonde JR. It's very cool with the chairs surrounding the stage plus a GREAT performance by the kids at DMYAT.
