Chicco Baccello

If you want lunch in Canonsburg that is not typical fast food fare, or pizza, this place is a great option. The place is very open and inviting and the sandwich and salad selections are freshly made to order and very reasonably priced. We tried their spicy turkey sandwich and a chicken salad and were very impressed with the quality of the food.

The salad featured a mix of greens which were not your typical iceberg. Then, there were layers of sliced chicken - that we saw them slicing to order – craisins, blue cheese, nuts, and more. Their balsamic vinaigrette was vey tasty as well and was clearly made in house. The spicy turkey sandwich featured Boars Head turkey which was also cut to order. There was also a layer of Habanero-flavored cheese, banana peppers, all layered on your choice of bread. I chose a wheat bread. This was then toasted and served warm. I also got a side of their Macaroni salad. This was a standard macaroni salad and while reasonably good, was the weakest part of the meal.

After ordering, you get a stand with a number and they bring the food to your table. Service was quick and there were lots of tables that sat from two to six people in the space. There are also two areas with couches and easy chairs for enjoying coffees and pastries – which they also sell.

Prices are moderate and this makes for a good deal given the quality of what you’re getting. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and close at 2 PM.

OMG! My avocado toast this morning was more than expected. Two slices of wheat toast, egg, avocado, and bacon. The flavor was perfect. My drink was vanilla nut roast coffee and it was very flavorful and smooth. The staff was great and helpful. I hope to stop again when in the area.

Great food with a great cause - and to think a place like this is in downtown Canonsburg! It is very well done inside. That gives us hope that small town downtowns are coming back. The food was very good and I'll be back.

Go! Go! Go! A beautiful gem tucked in the downtown strip of canonsburg. The Town needed something like this. Bring your friends and make this your new Gathering Spot. Plenty of seating, lots of comfortable options. While you're there, check out the tiny Art Gallery in the back.

I surprised my caffeine addicted boyfriend with a trip to Chicco Baccello and it was wonderful!!! He ordered a coffee flight and loved every one of them. His breakfast sandwich and my bionic bagel were tasty!!! E will be back!!

Had the Brenda sandwich and it was incredible! Boars Head meats and cheeses can't be beat. My wife enjoyed her salad BUT eventually the amount of blue cheese was too much for her so she would not get that again (the incredisalad). The fresh Brew coffee was tasty closer to a "Dunkin" than a Starbucks.

Would definitely come back ..oh and the staff was very nice!

Great atmosphere and food. They use Boar's Head lunch meat, which is the best IMHO and you can also buy it to take home from their small deli case. Haven't tried any sweets yet, but they all looked good every time I've been in there. Finally, the owner and staff are all super friendly and accommodating. Wonderful experience every time I've been there!

Relaxing hidden gem of a cafe in a walkable part of town. Definitely worth visiting or being a regular.

This place is worthy of a detour. Excellent pastries and breakfast sandwiches. The coffee is awesome. Service is pretty great and they will get you in and out quickly.

Only had the coffee for my first trip but boy was I impressed. First, it’s a cute place. The ambience with the variety of seating and the art on the walls is “feel good”. I got some work done while seeing the cars on pike street pass by. Second, the coffee from 19 Pittsburgh was surprising great. Had a slight tang that I just love in my coffee. And finally, how great is it to see Canonsburg with a REAL food option. I’m very thankful for the business and plan to frequent. A++ !!

I couldn’t love this place more. Everything from the food to the service to the atmosphere is stellar.

It's just a nice, cozy place. It's nice during things like Old Fashion Christmas or just for a relaxing visit.

Friendly staff and the vanilla honey latte is delicious! Nice and sweet with lots of foam on top. Way better than starbucks in my opinion. Very nice atmosphere too.

We hosted my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower at Chicco Baccello and I could not have been happier. The cafe is simply beautiful and the front seating spaces were ideal for mingling and opening gifts. Lisa was super easy to work with and so helpful with details on the day of the shower. Will definitely be recommending Chicco Baccello!

What a great place in Canonsburg! Met a friend for coffee and they have so many coffee and food options. Love the deli and will be back for lunch soon! It is a place to definitely check out soon!

That was incredible. 10/10 I loved it. The parfait?! Unmatched. Made my day. My bagel was so good. Literally phenomenal. Specifically the staff at Canonsburg. They’re so sweet and my food was on time. I loved it.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Prices are very good and the food is great. It is a deli and you go to the counter and order your food and sit on the many tables that are available. The staff delivers your food to your table . Wonderful staff and owner.
