People have no idea the abuse we go through fgo through from customers. It is usually the insurance, not us, yet we get blamed. We are only trying to help people get their medicine as quickly as possible as possible. I literally could not take take a potty break or a water break because the abuse of the customers. But was happy to do it because I understand stand they need their medication Asian but they need to understand there are 50 plus people in front of them in our system and covid plus plus tis the season of flu and other things going on, We are doing the best we can. People think you're pharmacy people I see people. Keep your prescriptions with Rite Aid or not or not but thank them no matter where you go. Have a heart people, Merry Christmas!

On 2/25/2022
I picked up diabetic test strips for my wife.
Unfortunately I had to pay $50 for strips that were not for her machine and are not returnable.

The pharmacist said he received a request to fill the order acceptable to her insurance….

I specifically requested from my doctor the type of test strips we needed as I use a different type. They had no idea what insurance to charge to. So they filled the prescription not knowing what type of monitor she had. When I arrived the charge was nearly $150. When I provided the insurance card, they processed and dropped the price to $49.99.

When I called to complain, he indicated that he remarked if I was sure about the medication. He did not. He also said he asked my wife. My wife was not there.

I firmly believe this pharmacist should be removed. He is apparently new as I have not had issues with this establishment before. After reviewing the google reviews, I see there are many bad reviews.

My wife has heart issues as do I and diabetes.
She will be unable to monitor her blood sugar for months.

No doubt, this will have an affect on business.

Happy to say that Rite Aid stepped up to do the right thing. After talking to a Corporate representative, the local store agreed to give me a monitor that matched the test strips I was given.

My name is Andrew Smykal from Emmaus Pa. Just to inform you of one of your best employees. The lady Taylor who works for Rite Aid in your Emmaus store, is a total Gem. She’s very attentive to people….. will always make time for customers & multi-tasks. A very good worker & extremely personable, she represents the company well & is truly knowledgeable of your work. I applaud her & would love to have a worker like her in my business. Sincerely Andrew Smykal

I’m 70 and slower than I once was. Trying to comply with your prescription refill process using my phone, I became very frustrated when attempting to input my prescription number as the time allotted to input these numbers was very limited. On my 4th attempt, I simply let it go to the pharmacist and transacted my business.
Rite Aid appears to be customer oriented however this feature is lacking because one must be of nimble mind in order to use it.
I really don’t wish to take your staff away from their work at hand but unless you modify this limited and irritating time restaurant, that is what I and I’d speculate, many others will or have already done.

I don’t have a problem with the workers at the store level. I do have a problem every month I can’t fill my meds because the person named Jennifer who orders the store medication will not order enough on purpose. I am under pain management I have to suffer withdrawals for a week every month it is a yo-yo effect. It is not good for my health I’m 60 years old and live alone. Why would the bosses allow this.

I have been a valued customer ordering and supporting rite aid since my rite aid was taken over by walgreens. I guess Christine B. Was the one that randomly close my acct without any notice. Said I was committing fruad all I ask for was an adjustment for Duracell batteries when the online site said buy one get one 50% off what a false advertising and poor online customer service team.

Hello. I have long been a customer at Rite Aid, and I understand the Corporate HQ are local.

I would like to file a complaint, and provide some suggestions on how to improve.

I had a prescription sent to my local Rite Aid on Monday, 2/20/23. It needed a prior authorization from the Insurance. I contacted the Dr’s office the same day, and the nurse replied that the auth was sent by 2/21 and marked as urgent. I followed up with Rite Aid on Wed or Thurs, and was advised the Rx should be ready by evening. By Friday afternoon, I got a text message that my local Rite Aid was out of stock. I called immediately and requested to please send the Rx to the next closest RA where I could pick it up. I was advised it was available at the Carlisle Spring Rd location, and that it should be ready for pick up when I got there. Given that it was a Friday, and many pharmacies are closed on the weekend, I rushed over to pick it up before the pharmacy closed. I arrived at 6:45. I went to the drive through, and not only was the Rx not ready, but the rep was having difficulty even locating me in the system. When she finally located my account, I was told it was too close to closing time, and I should contact my home pharmacy, and/or go to pick it up at the York Rd location. So I parked my car and called my home pharmacy back. I was advised the Carlisle Spring Rd location should be able to fill it if they did a “Central Search.”

As I was standing in line so that one rep could talk to another, the Pharmacist at the Carlisle Spring Rd location stepped in and told me it was too close to closing time to fill it, and I should go to another location, on York Rd. I called the York Rd location, and was advised my home location needed to release the Rx, and in fact had the SD RA spoken with the Carlisle Spring Rd location, I would have be able to get the Rx filled right there. Unfortunately, they were understaffed, and the Pharmacist was more concerned with closing for the day instead of filling the script. All he needed to do was talk to my home branch.

It is not okay that employees are made to close up shop before the pharmacy actually closes. I don’t know if this kind of penny pinching by Rite Aid is standard practice or not. Perhaps the employees should be trained and allowed to begin closing up shop AFTER the shop actually closes. This should be built in as part of their schedule, and they should be compensated accordingly. What I am suggesting is Rite Aid needs to implement some kind of systemic change to include paid time for employees and pharmacists to close properly. Otherwise you will continue to have unhappy customers and unhappy employees. I don’t know who’s job it is to fix this. But this is an issue that needs to be resolved. Otherwise your customers will go elsewhere, and that affects your bottom line.

Rite Aid is rapidly becoming the Frontier Airlines of pharmacy chains. Severely understaffed stores and pharmacy means you have to go into the store to get a question answered. This does not make parents of sick children or at high risk seniors happy. We're talking about healthcare here, not a new pair of jeans. Heads up, Rite Aid corporate, this can't go on.

RiteAid store 10893 ——————
4:59 pm on Saturday October 9, 2021.
I was texted that my 2 prescriptions were ready. I fill out payment via same text so all I have to do is go and pickup. I walk over, go in and head for the Pharmacy in the back. The clerk welcomes me as I head towards the back, then says “pharmacy” closed at 5. The time is 5:11pm.
I am new in town and this is my first order with this Pharmacy.
First why not indicate on the4:59 pm text you will be closed in one minute. Second why does the clerk seem to get pleasure out of the Pharmacy being closed?
