La Popular bakery is very good. Been in San Antonio 2 days and I've already visited twice, so I highly recommend y'all go ahead and try it

Great selection of pan dulce, the empanadas and conchas were delicious, soft, and sweet! The shop itself was pretty clean. Area isn't as busy as the rest of Culebra so it wasn't too difficult to get to either. Will definitely be coming back :)

The location is definitely one of the better bakery’s. I’ve been coming here for years and haven’t been disappointed. That said, prices have gone up. Again, quality is outstanding compared to the other locations. So, I came in today and bought two pink cake slices, two yo-yos, three cheesecake squares, three chocolate chip cookies, and one pierda. My total was $20.50, but they add an EXTRA 3% surcharge for credit card transactions, SO BRING CASH TO AVOID IT😅. To reiterate, the Quality of the baked goods and the staff is really good. Also if the owner could post prices of the goods, I have as well as others notice different prices throughout the week.

This is a gem! I’ve tasted many different pan Dulce’s and conchas in particular but no place has this La Popular beat. This is THE softest concha you will ever eat. And everything is delicious. You walk in to a beautiful display of pan dulces and leave with a happy heart and a belly waiting to be filled with its yummy food and a glass of milk or a hot coffee. Enjoy!

Fresh sweet Mexican pastries, Fresh flour tortillas. Very clean show case product covered with saran wrap. Pan Dulce too pricey.

This is a gem! We're so lucky to have this bakery near Alamo Ranch. I highly recommend it, the Mexican pastries are delicious! 😋 And my kids get to practice their Spanish with the sweet ladies that work there. Enjoy!

Wow!! This place has to be the best bakery in town. First, just to set the right expectations, do not walk-in asking for a birthday cake! There are only cookies, pastries, and single serve cake items. If you want to take your child for a really yummy treat, that won't break the bank, La Popular Bakery should be on your to-do list for this Summer!

What a gem of a find hidden inside 1604 on Culebra in the Alamo Ranch area! Don't let the outside appearance fool you - go inside and be instantly rewarded visually with a myriad of Mexican bakery items. I also came away with homemade flour tortillas! Yum! My new go-to bakery in the area!

Besides the pricing a bit high, their bakery bread is always fresh. On cold days get your items early or you'll be stuck with whatever is there. They sell out daily. Like I said great bakery bread

The pink cake is so on point. It's moist and not dried out like some places can have it. The rest of the pastries are good as well. They have all cookies in small and large varieties. I have never been disappointed when I go in.

Everything from here was exceptional! We got a wide variety of panesitos and enjoyed every single one. Lemon custard cake was the absolute best! Conchas we're soft and fluffy. The cinnamon roll was incredible! Not to mention the churro! Definitely recommend this Panaderia!

This place can get a little hectic when it is crowded but definitely worth it for the taste. The staff is very nice here. There is a good amount to choose from as well. Personally nothing to complain about, it’s a very good bakery!

The Best and Freshest Pan Dulce, and its Close By!!

Wow!!! I had no idea of what to expect. The place didn't look to be open for business. A friend of mine & myself walked into the business & looked at the selections of sweet bread. They were all appetizing. We tried what we purchased & were both surprised by how great it tasted. Very pleased with the cake which had pink icing. We both went 2 days in a row!!! We were & currently are satisfied customers!

The best mexican bread in the town. The bread is always fresh and soft. The flavor is delicious. That's the reason they win the blue dish. I tried other stored but they are no so good Iike the store on Culebra and Les Harrison. Totally recommended you will be in love this bread.

Very clean i liked the variery. The store was very quaint the lady worked quickly and i was surprised there wasnt a tip jar i offered but she refused pleasant su4prise i guess but i really didnt mind. Make me think the company really tak3s care of their employ3es
