Fountain View on the Plaza

Place is kept spotless, is always worth keeping in mind the extras they make you pay, but isnt so bad especially if you apply from one of their preferred employment jobs. I love my flat and the facilities and is a great location as well. For those worried, as I was when I first applied, about the staff responsiveness, they couldn't be nicer or more helpful if you go and speak to them in person. Repairs are always quick, staffs great, generally love the place.

Apts are in a great location, friendly staff and super cute! I would highly recommend living here, it’s safe and affordable. Pool is awesome too!

These apartments may very well be the best deal in Kansas City. The units are very nice and cute. It has all of the amenities that you could ask for. I live in a one bedroom unit and the layout was clearly thought out by a very experienced architect. It's just perfect!

Management is always responsive and helpful. That is very important when it comes to renting any place.

They have a portal in which you can easily pay rent. Very convenient!

The management team is absolutely fantastic! They are always there to help and greet you with a warm smile. They also have many activities like breakfast to go and an excellent Halloween scavenger hunt. I really enjoy living there.

I only lived here for a few months and then moved in with my boyfriend. The only real issue I had when I was there was the Parcel Pending service. This is an awful package service that you have to pay for and then get charged *every day* your package sits without pickup. Just in a room. I think they said they are working on changing it. Otherwise, I moved in very quickly and they were very accommodating. I like the apartment a lot and the price was good for the area. The main reason I picked this place over others was their lease break fee of 1 month rent while most others are 2 months and some tack on additional fees. So overall, didn't have a ton of experience with this place but I had no issues in the time I was there.

I just moved out of Fountain View after 3 great years of calling it home! I always felt so safe because the entire property is gated, and each building has a locked door on the outside in which you can only access your own building. The pool is great and the landscaping was always kept in top shape with gorgeous planters. We loved being within walking distance to the plaza, the Nelson and having the huge park right across the street. The office staff is so friendly and helpful and if your package can’t be delivered in the secure lockers, they keep it safe for you in the back room. I will miss it!

I'm really shocked by some of the negative reviews on here.
My husband and I have lived at this property for about four months now and I’ve had no problems at all.
The office staff is very friendly and courteous. When I have had to log an issue, I use the resident portal and maintenance always responds in a very timely manner.
The fitness center is great and open to residents 24 hours a day, and I have heard that they’re planning to start some upgrades soon.
The residents that I have spoken with are very friendly and polite. Everyone seems to mind their own business, which is always a nice attribute when sharing walls.
They’re installing a new system for parcel lockers to make packages available for pickup 24 hours a day, which, as an Amazon addict, I’m very excited about. Some people complain that there is a charge if you leave a package for more than three days, but I’m sorry, if you’re old enough to rent an apartment, you’re old enough to either put your locker on vacation mode or deal with it, be an adult.

Fountain View is in a excellent location in KC, with great facilities, services and apartments. My wife and I moved to KC for a few months and Fountain View was exactly what we needed. The management were very helpful in setting us up in the exact apartment we needed. One of the best things about Fountain View is the walkability to the Plaza and surrounding cafes, restaurants and shops, as well as the multiple parks for running and walks. Its perfectly positioned in KC with easy access to downtown as well as further south. Our apartment was in great condition when we moved in and the facilities management have been very responsive to any service requests. In addition to the apartment and secure parking there is a fantastic pool and good gym facilities. We have an external gym membership but never use it because the gym here covers all the basics. We also like Fountain View because its restful and quiet. Its not a noisy apartment complex, we don't hear noise in adjacent apartments, and everyone we've met so far has been friendly. Overall we've been really impressed by the quality of service, facilities, and location and would recommend it to others.

Love living here! Great community and events. Maintenance is timely and responsive!

My family of four (2 adults, 2 kids under 12) lived her for 5 months after we sold our home and were waiting for our next house to be finished. It was a great fit us. The staff was professional, courteous, and accommodating. The apartment was large, clean, and updated. Having the gym on site got my whole family motivated and we are now fitter than before (which I hope continues). Close access to the Brush Creek walking/biking trail was a bonus too. My kids spent a lot of time in the neighborhood parks. I highly recommend Fountain View.

My girlfriend and I have lived at Fountain View for nearly a year now, and couldn't be happier with our experience.

As Kansas City newcomers and a young couple on a budget, we were very concerned about finding a clean, decent, and safe place to live on such short notice. By the time we toured Fountain View, we had actually already looked at a dozen places and put a deposit down on a downtown loft. When we saw Fountain View, we immediately called to cancel the loft and signed a lease at FVOP. They were extremely flexible in helping us schedule our movers, get the keys, and were friendly throughout the whole process.

Fountain View is a little more expensive than other apartments in the area, but for a very good reason. The gated community and constant security provide an extreme sense of security around the clock. The pool and grill area are reminiscent of a 5-Star Resort, and the fitness center- while a little small-is a pleasant, naturally lit room with plenty of exercise machines to choose from. Our apartment is very clean and comfortable, and we have great neighbors. Every maintenance issue we've experienced has been quickly addressed and resolved. Washer/Dryer are located in the apartments opposed to most places that have them in a dingy, shared basement. We have covered, safe parking spots and we enjoy taking walks through the Plaza, local parks, and even to nearby the Westport area. Location really doesn't get much better.

Simply put, I would highly recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a comfortable, secure place to live in the city. Don't let the negative reviews fool you- in the last year, we and all the residents we know have had very positive experiences at Fountain View.

I made it a point to comment because I was very nervous about living here after reading some of the bad reviews (and not reading the good ones). Let me tell you, most people only come on here to complain so don't take them too seriously.

My wife and I have lived here for a month now after owning a house for 9 years so we were... nervous. Right off the bat we fell in love with the property, but more importantly with Crystal who gave us a tour and completed all of our paperwork and answered my 1000 questions with a smile. Not only is she very responsive and one of the sweetest girls ever, every person I have come in contact with at the office is extremely nice and helpful. Every one of them and I think I've spoken with all of them.

There is no noise issues that I was originally worried about. The place seems very safe so far. They up keep the roads and landscaping. The gym is nice. Haven't gotten to try the pool yet

I do also have to mention that I sent in a request for some things to be fixed (a rattling sound on my furnace and a light fixture wasn't working in my closet storage outside). The maintainence staff Josh and Danny were both there the next day and fixed my concerns same day. They were extremely friendly and helpful.

I am a sceptic, hard to please, and almost let the bad reviews sway me into going somehwere else. My wife and I are very happy here so far and love this community and those who run it.

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff! I spoke with Amy about a potential move to Fountain View and she was very helpful in explaining the amenities and the community. I appreciate the guidance and honesty, as anyone knows a move can be so stressful and finding the right place can be a challenge. Having someone that is so conversational and not just about “the sell” really made this place stand out for me.

Have lived here for one year and am very happy. Everyone in the office has always been warm and friendly, as well as the other tenants. As a single female I have always felt safe, even in the garage. Noise has not been an issue, nor has flooding! Past issues from a from a couple or few years back appear to be non-existant now. Can't complain about a thing.... I really love it here.

I recently toured Fountain View on the Plaza as I was preparing for my move to Kansas City and it was one of the most pleasant experiences! Alicia was phenomenal in answering every single question I had and ensuring I saw each apartment I was interested in with the different amenities and options! My housing decision essentially came down to proximity to my work location, but otherwise Fountain View will always be on my list of possibilities!

Great location in the heart of the plaza area. Great amenities, pool and has it's own postal service. Very pretty landscaping. The apartments are huge and full of upgrades. The bedrooms are a nice size. Secured area. You can utilize the alarm system. Everything is fob accessible. Covered parking garage. They are getting smokers for the grill area.

Great place to live, convenient to all highways and amenities. The staff are friendly and courteous. The maintenance guys in particular are always friendly and helpful, Tom will always explain what the problem is and what is needed to fix it. Over all this makes me feel like they care for us residents.

As a newcomer, I don’t have many general observations, but I want to single out the warm welcome I have received from the staff, in particular Diallo Simms. Diallo was my first contact here during the touring and leasing process. I was immediately struck by his professionalism, as expressed in a wealth of knowledge, prompt followup, and excellent communication skills, including being a good listener, who quickly picked up on and remembered my wishes and concerns. His upbeat and never-tiring personality was another plus. I looked at several properties as part of my move, and as a professional in this field, Diallo definitely stands out.
