I was just in Lander for the 4th. The guys at Gannett Peak Sports were great. They helped me with some bike issues and told me the great places to ride. I would rate them at 5 stars just for that but... I had picked up new brake pads for my bike. When I went to put them on, I found they were the wrong ones...my fault. Unfortunately, it was 30 minutes after they closed when I got to the door. One of the guys finishing up for the day, saw and remember me from the day before. I got the right pads and my bike was ready to ride. That's service!

Awesome - especially their staff, and willingness to go above & beyond to take care of customer.

Ed who works here, stayed late Friday evening after closing to fix my bike with crucial repairs needed on my bike, ahead of a race that following morning. I would not have been able to do the race, without the rush services he took care of. Top-shelf customer service!

I had a mechanical problem on the Trans Am between Jeffry City and Lander and had to walk the last bit into Lander, arriving the Sunday afternoon before the Fourth of July holiday. The first bike store that I passed was closed. I got to Gannet Peak bike shop and was just forlornly staring at the locked door, looking for the hours, What a surprise when Ed opened the door after hours, took me and my bike in, and said that they didn't like to leave anyone stranded.

Ed fitted my bike into their bustling schedule, adjusting my shifters and brakes, and worked after the 6:00 closing on July 3 to get me back on the road. Plus, he was an expert technician for my somewhat more complicated bike. I'm really grateful for the care and flexibility of the Gannet Peak bike shop.

We stopped here at Gannett Peak Sports on June 12 while on a bicycle trip and this is hands down the best bicycle shop I've ever been in. We had seen a flyer saying they offered free ice cream to touring cyclists so, of course, we had to stop in. The staff was absolutely amazing, so welcoming and helpful. After we got the ice cream, they offered to pump up our tires, and when I mentioned a small problem I was having with my bike, they promptly came up with a creative fix and then spent some time taking care of it - and refused to let me pay anything. While we were waiting, they also gave us free beer! The shop itself is large, well-supplied, and immaculate and everyone who works there is very knowledgeable. While we were there, a foreign cyclist participating in the Race Across America came in with a bigger bike problem and the staff went out of their way to get his bike fixed in the fastest, most friendly way imaginable so he could return to the race. He was clearly overwhelmed by the assistance he received. Even without the free ice cream and beer, I would not hesitate to rate this shop as the absolute best. It's amazing!

I'm riding the TransAm, and I stopped in here to use the restroom -- I was immediately offered an ice cream sandwich and a beer on the house. After signing the guest book, I ended up purchasing a new chain, as my old one was worn out, and had my drivetrain cleaned (it was loooong overdue). They did a totally superb job -- these folks rock!!! Thank you!

I live in arguably one of the best mountain biking areas in the United States, but yet, I chose to drive four hours and purchase a mountain bike with Ed from Gannett Peak Sports. Why? EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. I first called Ed and GPS in search of a Stumpjumper for rent. He was so diligent throughout the booking process, that we actually considered just purchasing a Stumpjumper through their retail services. We had been on the hunt in our hometown of Salt Lake City, and bike shops hardly even noticed us. Yet, Ed gave me 5-star service when I was only even considering a rental. For that reason, I wanted my hard-earned money spent with someone who deserved it. I don't condone working after-hours, but Ed happily stayed open late to facilitate our after-hours pickup. Wishing continued success to Ed and GPS!

We hung out and found every piece of gear we could need and got great adjustments and tips for visiting Lander. Definitely stop here! Amazing selection and service!!

This is an amazing shop. Never would have expected a shop of this caliber in such a small town. Ed is an amazing guy. Made us feel completely welcome and at home the minute we walked through the door. If you’re near Lander come here.

Gannett Peak Sports are the very best at what they do. I’m doing the Trans America Bike Race and called ahead to the shop after snapping a derailleur cable near Crowheart. After pedaling into Lander on a jerry rigged derailleur, they immediately took my bike in for service and set me up with a beer and ice cream sandwich while I waited. Ed fixed my derailleur cable after some effort extracting the old one, and checked the tuning on the rest of the bike to ensure I was in top shape. One of the best bike shops I’ve ever been to.

This shop is incredible, and Ed at the shop was a huge help in getting me on a new bike. I had a Specialized warranty claim to replace a cracked frame on an old bike, and I first went to multiple shops in Colorado where I live. No one could make it happen, so I called Gannett Peak Sports, and Ed worked with Specialized and did all the paperwork to get everything finalized. I couldn't make the drive up to Lander, so Ed was able to get the bike shipped to me. Can't wait to stop by the next time I'm up in Lander, and I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

What a great experience!! Set me up with a quality full suspension mountain bike for an epic 80 miles of riding. Great personable staff that works hard to assist you on any adventure. This is my second time working with GP and they get better each time. A must stop for any adventure starting in Lander!!!

Ed helped me 2am with a fix I needed while racing trans am. Found breaks had problems too and they’ve never been better. Ed is attention to detail and pointed out many little things that add up to the bike being a lot better. Saved a lot of future problems.

ED! ED! ED! I came to Lander late during my TransAm tour and it was maybe 2 hours after they closed. I roll by and see Ed and another guy. He unlocks the door for me and took care of my bike! He really went above and beyond. Give that man a raise!

What a great stop on the TransAmerica route, I had some little issues with my front deraillur, and Ed welcomed me right in with ice cream, and let me dry some of my clothes from the rain! Then he checked out my bike, and turns out my chain was bad (I kinda felt that the previous few days) if I'm ever in Wyoming again, I will definitely be supporting them

Stopped at Gannett Peak Sports with a question about bleeding my ebike’s breaks. Ed took immediate action, he listened, asked questions, then did the work. My ebike rides wonderfully.

Rare to find technical experts with such empathy and good listening skills.

Awsome shop!!! Great selection and service. Recently my friend and I were cross country traveling mountain biking and he had crashed His bike and smashed the frame. They were super accommodating and had us back on the road in no time at all. The staff was super friendly and competent. Highly recommend the shop. Thanks again for your help.

In the midst of riding a portion of the Trans Am, we stopped in to Gannett Peak Sports, where I received the service I've ever had from a bike shop, hands down. I was having trouble with my shifting and my brakes, and Ed immediately got on task and fixed both problems with professionalism and good grace. Ed and others on staff also helped me out with various other things related to my bike and to the trip. Such a great shop! Thanks for being there!

I stopped by Gannett Peak Sports with an unknown intermittent clicking in my pedal while riding the transamerica route, eastbound.

I was immediately welcomed warmly by staff member, Ed, told he could look at it right away (I didn't call ahead and I'm only in Lander for the day) and offered beer and an ice cream sandwich 😄

Not only did he fix my mystery problem that was driving me nuts on the tour, but he also rewrapped half my handlebar tape that was coming loose, cut a long brake line and capped it, tightened a loose bolt, pumped up my tires, and got the sap out of my cleat and tightened it. He only charged me $10. They also gave me a list of local recommendations for camping, showers, and food.

All of these little things problems add up on a 4,218 mile tour. I was SO grateful I stopped by Gannett Peak Sports and now feel confident getting back on the road tomorrow for the other 2/3 of the ride.

Whether you're a local or transam-er like me, stop here for your bike needs! They're super knowledgeable, helpful, fast, friendly, and affordable/fair priced.

THANK YOU ED!
