Had dinner at John Ryan's last evening. We were seated in the tavern (per our reservation request) which is below the main dining area. It's a quiet and dark room with stone walls and exposed beam ceiling. Made for a cozy atmosphere.

Our server, Kylee, presented us with menus and took our drink orders. I was thirsty for their Limoncello Martini, but also curious about their latest brew called a Dandelion Ale and asked for a taster of that. Our drinks arrived and the ale was delicious. Crisp with a slight citrus edge. To me, it would be a perfect summer beverage. My martini was sublime - the limoncello lended a perfect combo to the gin. So much so that I had two that evening.

Appetizer of our choice were the Bao Buns. Hubby was a bit hesitant but that didn't last long. The soft pillowy steamed buns holding tender seasoned pork, pickle, cilantro, and a spiked mayo gave just the right kick and had us both wishing for more.

Mains were just as delicious. The curry pork katsu for me hit the spot. Battered and fried thinly sliced pork over rice with carrots and potatoes complete with a delicious curried Japanese sauce drizzled over everything. The pork melted in my mouth and the whole dish was just incredible.

Hubby got one of his favorite dishes, the duck confit, and it definitely did not disappoint. Fall off the bone tender. He completely cleaned his plate!

We were curious about dessert and decided to go for it. Irish apple cake and a Bailey's cheesecake - both specials for St. Patrick's Day. I have to say that dessert was the least favorite of our meal. The piece of cake was quite small - two bites and it was basically gone. The cheesecake was interesting. Good flavor and creamy but the crust seemed off. Almost like it had been burned with a cooking torch as it gave off a burnt sugar flavor and the color was quite black. Not sure if it was intentional and I failed to question it. Instead I just scooped out the filling and left the crust on my plate....

.....BUT! This didn't matter because we fell in love with the place and the food (other than dessert) has us wanting to return. We both saw other plates on the menu that we want to try and we'll definitely be back. The atmosphere and service alone were outstanding. It's a beautiful building and establishment and we look forward to our next visit.

One further note - not sure if there is a parking lot nearby but we were able to park along the street just steps from the front door.

Food was very good. The menu changes perhaps with the season? There are always vegetarian options but sometimes not many fish options. Might want to check the most recent if you have any restrictions. Friendly, helpful wait staff. Varied rooms for dining as well as outdoor seating.

Going to this restaurant is definitely an experience. As soon as you walk in the interior is stunning. We weren't sure what door to go in at first, ha. They change their menu every 6-8 weeks and finally had one that peaked my interests, vegetarian. We ordered a vegetable from the menu, cucumber and shitakes. It was very delicious. My entrée was the Korean noodle bowl, so good. Plated very nicely as well. It was cold and spicy, to my surprise but overall very flavorful. My partner ordered the pasta dish that was also vegetarian, torchiette. He loved it. It was incredible. We had a vanilla bean cheesecake for dessert. I also tried the Belgian IPA, I enjoyed that as well. Overall the meal was fantastic. Like I said this was an experience, smaller plates and higher price point but definitely worth it for a special night out.

Excellent Brewery and dining. There is plenty of seating and outdoor seating.
Keeping the old with a touch of new renovation adds a great appeal.
Downstairs tavern gives a feeling of the old prohibition period.
This is 5 stars, for nothing is equal in the area. The elegance is unique and a true hidden gem. Menus change every 8 weeks.
Be shore to say hi to the owners, and you saw it here on Google Maps.

Honestly one of the better places in Williamsport if you want something unique and upscale. We've gone 3 times so far, once was ramen night and the staff was always top notch. Ive had 2 entrees, multiple appetizers (bao buns are delicious and id straight up drink a glass of whatever the calamari is put into. The beer is great (French Porter is incredible along with the Irish Coffee and Geisha) If you want somewhere fancy that won't absolutely kill your wallet and you want exceptional waitressing and staff, this is the place 👍

It’s SO nice to have this amazing restaurant in a small town like Williamsport. Food is always delicious, thoughtfully planned, and unique. You can’t get these types of elevated flavor profiles and takes on cuisine in many other places around here. Option to get a lot of food or smaller tapas plates which I enjoy bc I love trying a bunch of different small bites. Drinks are fantastic (esp love the Earl). Service is friendly and efficient. Really great atmosphere on all 3 levels. Great for watching the World Cup, date night, or brunch with friends. Love this place and try to find any excuse to go eat and drink there often. Thanks!

Just ate here for the first time, and I'm kicking myself for not coming sooner! Had bunch this morning was delicious, had the lobster benedict, then came for dinner and had the double royal with cheese! Let me tell you every time I see the scene in pulp fiction with the cheese burger I want one and after having this one it's exactly wjat I think it would taste like 10/10 would recommend!!!!!

HIGHLY recommend. I’m here on business and the staff here treated me like family as soon as I walked in. I needed a little space to continue working at the bar as they had no problem accommodating! I’ve been to a ton of breweries and the kolsch and French porter were top notch. Ordered the shrimp scampi as a starter and finished with the filet! Highly recommend both. Amazing food and even better service! The brewmaster was very knowledgeable and the owner connected with the patrons throughout the night while giving me recommendations for local restaurants/bars in the area. Supporting local business is huge for me and love seeing his passion! Keep doing what y’all are doing! (Sorry I crushed the filet before I could get a picture).

Had an excellent meal at John Ryan Brewery. Cocktails were excellent as was the food. Save room for dessert, the popcorn crème brûlée was awesome.

By far the best food available in town. No way you can get anything remotely close to this quality without driving to at least NYC.

Incredible food, great beer. Cozy place to watch EPL matches on Saturday mornings. Drinks are good. Did I mention that the food is amazing? Great service.

I just wish they would do something wrong- I've been spending all of my money here and have looking for an excuse not to go back.

First off, I just want to say that I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while ever since my friend posted a picture of their food. Tonight, my bf took me here for my birthday this month and it was everything that I thought it El would be and more!
I love the art work on the walls and the crystal chandeliers. It’s a very beautiful place.
The food and beer was SO good. I love the Japanese and Asian items, as I am in love with Japanese culture.
It was worth the price and I’m so glad I went.
Thank you so much.

Interesting place. Foods quality was high class with high class prices. Beer was very good, three on tap tonight. A pear, rye and French porter. So far only soft openings. Bartender/brewer said they will be opening in January.

Enjoyed a fabulous dinner here Saturday evening (outside on the patio!) with the family. Our dishes were full of unique flavors, very fresh. Will served us fabulous cocktails at the bar prior to sitting down. Very friendly service. I live out of town and plan to make this a frequent stop when I'm in the area.
