From the moment that I walked in to Maurina-Schilling even with the lose of my wife, I felt very welcome. Not just another number. They were caring. Not coming out hitting you from every direction with funeral plans. They gave me time to thing after I was asked a question. Explained Each option, and again gave me time. We gave them very short notice for the funeral. Only four days. The things that they did in that time were amazing. I could not have asked for better. They helped me through a bad time, and I can never thank them enough.

Even when my sister passed away two days after we planned my mother's, Kevin helped us incorporate her funeral with our mother's. They arranged everything to perfection and provided all we needed to follow up with thank you notes and a complete list of attendees and addresses. Kevin was extremely helpful at a very difficult time for our family. He rolled with the fact that there were 8 kids to satisfy with our Mother's arrangements and that some of us had different ways of dealing with the grief. I had only had encounters with him over the phone, but he knew half of us from prior encounters at other services and outside of the funeral home. I found the staff to be extremely helpful, professional and understanding. Kevin continues to work with me through the process of settling life insurance policies to pay the final expenses and has been very patient with issues that have come up. I highly recommend their services based on professionalism, courtesy and customer service.

My husband passed away after a lengthy hospital stay in November, 2019. A death is traumatic so I asked a sister and two nieces to accompany me to the funeral home to make arrangements as I didn't feel my mind would be up to the task due to emotions. While their presence was appreciated, I needn't have worried. Kevin was terrific to work with. He was so patient and kind, so thoughtful with suggestions. My relatives conveyed this to me after our planning was done as well. He put everyone at ease, was never pushy or demanding, let us take all the time we needed for everything. All guests to the service essentially echoed what I just said above. I highly recommend Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home and their excellent staff when you have need of their services.

This was the first time having to make arrangements and I was pretty much by myself other than my kids. Kevin was a gray help, very understanding and helpful.
