My husband and I first visited Catopia during its opening week. It’s so great to see it still going strong! We went back this past week and are thrilled to have adopted a new family member during our most recent visit. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, and take their time to get know each cat individually. When we decided to bring our new kitty home, a staff member gave us a list of the cat’s favorite toys and sleeping spots to help us make him right at home. Attached photo is of him in his new bed, per staff recommendation. 😊 Sandy, the owner, is so sweet, and even sent us several photos of our kitty once we’d brought him home! Catopia is a great addition to our community, and I’d recommend anyone go there if they’re needing some cat cuddles or considering adopting.

If you arrive hungry, plan to eat only pre-packaged snacks, as they do not prepare food in a kitchen. But who cares? We’re there for the kitties!

This is a fun place and a great way to spend time with rescue cats. All of the cats are available for adoption. You pay an entrance fee and that allows you to hang out with the cats for about an hour.

Catopia is very clean. There are tables and chairs and also benches to sit on. For the cats there are lots of toys and places for them to rest comfortably spread out through out the space.

Food is limited to prepackaged snacks; howver there is a large collection of hot and cold drinks. I had a bottle of black cherry cream soda that was delicious!

While there were approximately 15 cats in attendance, most of them were resting out of site. I did see four sleeping in various places and my partner and I attracted two carts to play with us using one of the "fishing pole" toys.

We will definitely go back. It was a pleasant, relaxing place and this is an easy way to support rescue animals.

I had the best experience here and had to give 5 stars across the board!

Amazing job to this team wonderful cat cafe for having such powerful mission and impact on the community and for all cats!
I love that they work with local shelters, and give the cats another chance to find a forever home. I will gladly support this business.

Anyone and everyone that works here has been such amazing help. They are all so knowledgeable and friendly! So feel free to ask all the questions you can!

I was nervous about being a first time cat owner, with an autistic child. But everyone here made it such a positive experience for my family, and I will always be grateful for it.

Yes, we did find our forever cat here and everything just worked perfectly.

There is an application process and varies depending on the shelter that the cat came from.
The employees also made this an easy process!

They also have some snacks, cold and hot drinks that you can buy here as well. It is a small selection because of our furry friends around. It is perfect though to be able to hang out with so many fun cats in a friendly and positive atmosphere!

Thank you from my family and myself!

Well we didn't eat here but im sure the snacks are great. We went for the cats . We were not disappointed. I wish there was more and more but I understand they need adequate space.
I wish we were able to hold them but petting was good too. The staff was friendly and welcoming and it was clean. The toys for the cats and everything was phenomenal. The cats all looked well fed , cared for and happy. Will definitely go back. My family and I are all animal lovers so thank you

Absolutely wonderful experience. There were many friendly cats, and a lot of them were very social, especially Lorax. If Lorax is there, say hi to him.

Something important to mention is that they can’t make food due to regulation stuff, so I highly recommend that you eat beforehand.

I think you can bring food in, but don’t hold me to it.

Absolutely enjoyed the heck out this cat cafe. The staff was friendly and warm and the AC is super effective in the August heat. I didn’t try anything from the coffee or tea menu but I did enjoy the creative selection of bottled and canned drinks. The space was clean and well kept and for a $10 entry fee, we got to interact with at least a dozen cats (there were quite a few we didn’t meet taking naps), each with their own unique personalities. Many of the cats are rescues and all of them are up for adoption. I’m really looking forward to my next visit!

Just absolutely love this place. I’m always greeted by the sweetest woman who is so kind and warm. The cats are so happy, well-adjusted and loved. The place itself is immaculate. Couldn’t ask for a better place for rescue kitties. I always leave feeling so peaceful and happy. Thanks so much to everyone who works there to provide this wonderful atmosphere for cats and humans alike.

I brought my husband here because his cat (his best buddy) passed away after fifteen years. The facility was clean, calm, and the cats were clearly taken care of. The entire experience was positive and a little emotional. One kitten in particular stole our hearts, and we officially adopted her yesterday. The entire process was seamless and Sandy (the owner) was very kind and easy to work with. Highly recommend visiting and supporting Catopia.

This is a happy cat environment! It’s very clean, fun, and interactive! All kitties are free roaming and they have places where you can sit and get to know the cats all well having a coffee or drink. Before you leave be sure to check out the little gift shop area in the corner. So many items for cat lovers, everything from little cat pens and stickers to T-shirts and plushies. The cats are well taken care of, each one has its own wonderful personality. I will be going back to visit. There is a $10 fee per person to enter but it goes towards the care and boarding of each kitty 🐈‍⬛ I am so happy to support! Find them on Facebook! They have little events now and then 🥰

Lovely, clean place run by folks who really care about cats. We made an appointment for when the place opened at 11, and there were definitely plenty of kitties awake and having a ball!

My son found this place and I'm so glad we went. Go drink a latte and hang out with some kitties in need of love and affection. Super friendly staff and I'm so glad this place opened. The kits are so cute! I believe they do adoptions here as well or they can direct you on how to adopt the cats.

This is a beautifully ran, quaint little cafe. The best part...the kitties! They are all so well behaved and sweet as pie. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet, and such big hearts to create such a cozy place for these beautiful animals to connect with the visitors. They have drinks and snacks to purchase, and so cute little swag to buy if you choose. They do ask for donations if you are going to stay and cuddle, but it's more than fair considering the cause. If you are looking for your next feline companion, look no further than Catopia Cat Cafe. Even just to get in some furry therapy.

The animals are treated so nicely and can be adopted..a nice cozy environment for any car lover or anybody to go and relax and spend some time with some very friendly cats. We adopted two cats from here. The staff are so friendly and knowledgeable and helped us pick out our kitties. The cats are well taken care of, the owner even helped us on her day off to coordinate picking up our kitty. Definitely a fun place to hang out with cats!

Let me preface this review by mentioning that I am NOT a cat person. I went to this establishment purely because I couldn’t resist the incessant pleas from my daughter - plus she has a face that is impossible to say no to.

I made arrangements to bring my daughter here for her birthday. I coordinated with Sandy and she was EXTREMELY helpful. There is a $10 donation fee. We arrived and we were pleasantly surprised to see that there was a little birthday corner complete with personalized signage for the birthday girl.

Now to the cats…they were free roaming and looked truly at ease. I posted myself in a corner so that I could count down the minutes until this was over.

Suddenly, this sweet little gray and white kitten comes up to me and starts to stroke my hand. I was surprised. I didn’t know what to do. She sat next to me and I could feel the purrs vibrating from her little body. It was so calming.

I have always steered away from cats but think that Catopia has made me a believer. We did return a week later to adopt the kitten, but she had already been adopted to a wonderful home.

I’m sure that we will be back.

This is a very clean and well run cat cafe. The staff was kind and very caring towards the kitties. They were so nice in letting my wife and I in for free since it was her birthday. We made sure to buy coffee and some cookies. The cats were good natured and playful. Some were sleeping peacefully. Cats can be adopted. I highly recommend this cafe!

I love this place! It’s such a comfort spot in Abq and everyone in the staff is so friendly and helpful. I love the environment and the fact that the cats have their safe spot in the back.
Also, side note, I have so much respect for the owner after seeing their response to some of these 1-star reviews. Keep it real and don’t let the petty nitpickers get away with their dishonest reviews! 😎💪
