Dr. Auburn is a wonderful yoga and mindfulness teacher. Her gentle yet effective approach left me rejuvenated and relaxed. Her calm, confident, and expert guidance as well as her unique approach (Kemetic Yoga) made me an instant fan!

I'm hooked on kemetic yoga after attending a practice and discussion with Dr. Auburn. I highly recommend practicing with and learning from her: loved the interaction (everyone felt comfortable talking unlike in some classes where only one or two people take up space) and clarity about kemetic yoga principles.

Dr. Auburn Ellis offered yoga in our gallery during the Fall 2020 exhibition, Real Black: a spectrum of the Black present. It was FANTASTIC. She also chose to lead Kemetic yoga specifically, which paired well with the theme of the show. Brilliant! Our gallery welcomed yogis of all levels and in the 4 week re-occurring special program, we only received raving reviews about her instruction and several returning participants!

Dr Auburn is truly one of a kind, bringing authenticity and a beautiful energy. We had a retreat of about 12 people and everyone really enjoyed her presence and the time we shared together I love how she includes the history in her yoga flow. Love her voice!

Auburn’s yoga classes at 18th and Vine are the best in the city. It’s great to take class from an instructor who studies her craft and knows the history of yoga.

I attended a lecture hosted by Dr. Auburn for my 200YTT, and she was incredible. She led us through the history of Kemetic yoga, how Egyptian art, science, and study of the body are linked, and how this informed their version of yoga (mainly, their way of being). We went on to discuss appropriate vs. appreciation, and how we can be mindful of racism and ableism in the yoga studio. Dr. Auburn was incredibly open and nurturing in her conversation, and truly led an environment of open education and discussion. I am so moved by her work, demeanor, and mission!

Dr. Auburn is a phenomenal educator and an amazing facilitator. She has expertise in yoga, anti-racism, Kimetic yoga and so much more. She has such a gift of creating a communal space where questions are welcomed and encouraged. I would highly recommend if you want to learn and grow as a business, person or instructor.

My experience with Dr. Auburn Ellis was impeccable! She is the epitome of professionalism and class. The virtual yoga session that she led for a group of alumni and educators from my University flowed seamlessly, and was met with rave reviews. Her fusion of art, yoga, and mindfulness is not only innovative, but so very necessary during these unprecedented times. A teacher by training, but a healer at heart...look to be profoundly touched by her presence, expertise, and craft.

I have experienced yoga with Dr. Auburn Ellis a few times over the past few years, and was fortunate to attend a workshop with her recently about Kemetic yoga. The workshop was informative, accessible, fun, and interesting! She’s a great yoga teacher and I am grateful for her bringing the lesser known story of Kemetic yoga to Kansas City. As a yoga instructor myself, I found the information valuable and am inspired to learn more about this part of yoga’s roots!

Dr. Auburn is amazing! She cultivates a space of learning and acceptance in her workshops. Dr. Auburn first had everyone introduce each other then led everyone in a Kemetic yoga sequence with a diversity and inclusivity lecture afterwards. It was about a 4 hour workshop where I walked away so much more knowledgeable about the community around us and how I can also create a safe environment for my own classes. There are few people that teach Kemetic yoga, and Dr. Auburn does an exemplary job of teaching and guiding students through it.

Dr Auburn led our staff in an amazing hour long meditation. It was the perfect start to our day long retreat. It was perfect for all fitness levels and was so appreciated by the staff.

I recently took to a 3 hour lecture led by Dr. Auburn Ellis on Kemetic Yoga during my 300 Hour TT hosted by CPY. The lecture was extremely enriching as it provided a diverse perspective towards my yoga training. Dr. Ellis was thorough in her presentation and very candid in her Q&A section. During the 3 hour session, Dr. Ellis led the TT group through a physical practice of Kemetic yoga which was FANTASTIC to experience! I look forward to learning more and practicing Kemetic yoga!

Dr Auburn has created a truly welcoming and inspiring space that I look forward to attending. Her insights are so keen. She has a way of pushing me to dig deeper in order to incorporate ideas into my life.

Auburn hosted our first Virtual Paint and Sip and it was extraordinary‼ I would HIGHLY recommend her services to everyone! She sent our kits quickly in the mail. Thank you for being so dedicated to your craft. I can’t wait for the next one. 🥂♥
